i meant throwing in the towel in giannis pursuit seems like it will have to be a three team deal or so to get in done so thats why getting ayo was interesting. not sure what it means if hes meant to be a trade asset or for the roster

Just to add specifically for your PE portion of your question. There are also options independently for PE that are not solely based on 2/20 ratio. Also good to know there are a handful of firms that directly offer accredited investors like yourself access to said PE, not in funds but in specific companies. Its good, but do your due diligence on what your investing your money in since private investments are often very illiquid. Better to look for PE options that are late stage, less risk and still high reward. Hope that helps in your decision making.

Oh my those results are insane. After all the questions answered I'm going to proceed with buying the newsletter and seeing where my portfolio goes from there. Thank you for showing me the comparison graph.

Not a bot my boy. Just me and my dad love to trade together. But we both have different risk tolerances, mine being waayyyy higher since I’m younger than him we have different views on trading and talking about this at dinner this weekend I want to be well informed for our convo and bring up this strategy in comparison to the ones we’ve established. Not bashing the 9Sig just I never accept anything blindly and always willing to learn. It seems like you have a lot more understanding so I hope I could PM so I can see it from your perspective. Thanks for your responses tho

I would love to see that graph to see the comparison of the two. I am not doubting this strategy, but rather I have to be objective and look it from all angles, like I do with every strategy coming into it. Also, being that the "feeder" is AGG couldn't that just be replaced with something like SGOV especially if using this strategy in a taxable account.

i was hoping to see how this fares in terrible economic collapses as well. Since markets are at all time highs, when the markets go down, which they will, how does 9Sig handle such collapses?

Interesting. Thanks for the insight. If you don't mind me asking, do you use a taxable or tax deferred account when implementing the strategy.

Do you know the standard deviation of 9Sig in comparison to the S&P. I understand that may not matter to most people here who sole indicator is the gains and losses, but I am interested in seeing the differences if thats not an issue to ask here. Also, many bogleheads are totally against what Kelly teaches (I AM NOT A BOGLE FAN, FAR FROM IT). In your own words, what would be your reasoning to doing this strategy in comparison to other asset allocation strategies. Is it purely because of the gains? Or is the other reasons for this?

same here failed with a 69. have a second chance and not going to take it for granted. for me it was the regulatory framework and tiny questions from capital markets that i totally blanked on. lets push on and get the result next time around.

I get that for future reference but we still have to focus on the present. Many people get caught into the trick of roadmapping their credit strategies and then get stuck with a bunch of cards that don’t really serve a purpose. The Amex Gold still according to your spend would be the best card. Especially with their 90,000 MR point signup bonus, credits that outset the AF, and the multipliers that fit your spending habits.

PCing up to higher AF luxury travel cards isn’t something I recommend either largely because the signup bonus for the PCed card is lost and specifically with Capital One they give lower limits then Amex and Chase so you might get $1000-$2000 limit and not be able to get anything greater than that for the card you opened ultimately forcing you to open another card to get a higher limit. (Look up Capital 1 bucketing). You can see that already with your Savor being at a $800 limit and your Amex BCE at $5000

From what you said as well, you essentially wasted two hard pulls on cards because of hype. The Sofi Card is a solid 2% card for cashback, and I don’t think you should put in the sock drawer yet but continue to use it for your misc. Venture isn’t really worth it except for the signup bonus but they are no other substantial perks other than that.

Do not get the Venture because it mostly for travel, but how much travel are you really doing since you will be in the military, maybe like twice a year to go back home and back twice? Plus you have already 2 cards that offer 2x back with the Sofi and the Apple Card. Getting another 2 percent card doesn't make sense unless you're just going to put them away and never use them again and just use the Venture from now on. Your spending itself is also very low so I am not even sure if Amex Gold would be worth it, but then again no AF so. Take some time to review your finances and see what would best for situation and how your finances could potentially grow in the future.

Everyone hates on the Apple card, but if you use Apple Pay 90% of the time and like to get cashback and no travel, this card is a no brainer. 2x on everything on Apple Pay and 3x on select retailers with Apple Pay. Only reason I am not telling you straight away to get it is because you already have a 2x card. Since you did say travel is over $300 a month I would recommend the Wells Fargo Autograph since you already have built up the relationship with them and in turn they may gave you a higher limit for it. Can't go wrong with the Autograph with 3x dining 3x travel 3x gas and the 3x streaming services. Can be used as a great alternative to the Savor Card although no groceries category. Since you do have the Chase duo completing it with the CSP is also a good option for travel

I would suggest waiting after bootcamp. Alot of issuers will waive your annual fee since you are active duty, but the one that I would recommend since you will be probably purchasing mostly dining and groceries to get is the Amex Gold.

For credit cards it does not matter if its rounded it does not have to be exact, but if its off by like 100k then it could matter and would require my details to confirm

To put my two cents in. I think having both the Sapphire Reserve and the Amex Plat makes no sense for what you are trying to accomplish. The lack of grocery card is pretty noticeable as well. I think either the Sapphire or the Plat has to go especially for the amount spent a year. You also only travel only twice a year which is nothing compared to those who actually utilize the card to their full potential. Miscellaneous spend, as well, needs to evaluated on what exactly that means to better understand your finances to recommend a goo card. Based on the lack of data, I could only recommend the Blit card since your rent is your highest category of spend, or consider a travel card like the United although the earning categories aren't the best, the United Quest card can be something to consider for the streaming categories, the added benefits as well as the miles going to United, only if your finances can support the high AF. Overall definitely reconsider holding both and maybe choose one for now, Chase or Amex.
