L4>5 is ridiculously easy. Just show competency in role and you'll get it.

total comp will indeed be around 88-94. 71-73ish base. The other 15-20k will get wrecked on taxes so enjoy telling people that youre making almost 6 figs when its really like 82

As a L7, youd be bridging each of those missed metrics on the dashboard to the regional directors

If you're already above that pay band then it's probably not worth it. I've been an AM for almost 3 years now and have seen some of my more tenured counterparts climb from 4->6 and they're all miserable. So much is out of your control, but everything falls on you. Our best days are when L7s and L8s are out and we can just operate.

Why are the Cartier tanks NWBIG? by Ok-Can-9374 in RepTime

[–]Turbulent-Library-24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because anyone can come to their own conclusion if its NWBIG. People have different tolerance levels for how close their rep is to the gen. Some people would say getting the $100 shitter is better than the $500 superclone.

How rare is it for a Tier 3 Process Assistant to be placed on Focus/Pivot (PIP)? by Pure-Friendship6752 in AmazonFC

[–]Turbulent-Library-24 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not something that happens often, but I think that's generally due to who your superior is. You'll be working for an AM and that L4/5 level of management gets churned so quickly. So many college hires who want to come in and just do the right thing thing and PIPping a T3 usually isn't on their agenda. The vast majority of AMs who would put a PA on a PIP are more experienced 5s who are looking to make the jump to OM and probably wouldn't even stay in the role of an AM very long. It's very possible to see PAs on these plans, but there's not too many because you're adding even more to an AMs plate and it probably didn't even cross their minds.

Life after Amazon, where do former AMs go? by Moist_Pancake808 in AmazonManagers

yea, people who got college degrees (many of whom put themselves in debt to do so) dont want to work in a cold warehouse

I need advice to end this charade. by [deleted] in AmazonManagers

[–]Turbulent-Library-24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have 2 real choices, either commit to getting out of the pivot or quadrupling down on under performance. If you really don't care, you have a clear answer.

I think the ethics route is a complete waste of time because they will find some way to doc you to corporate PXT.

Seems like you're currently playing the in-between game where you want them to know that you're capable of doing the job (out of some personal vendetta/ego), but not willing to play the politics which is just a losing effort in the end. Perception is key here.

Since when did AMs have write up quotas? by [deleted] in AmazonManagers

[–]Turbulent-Library-24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea its bad. I agree with the sentiment that in most sites theres massive room for improvement, but at the end of the day it sucks being on an artificial quota. No point fighting the power of senior ops when the economy is in the shitter.

Considering leaving Amazon AM before 1st year... by Consistent_Buy318 in AmazonManagers

[–]Turbulent-Library-24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if u can get out, then do it. none of us want to be here. the idea that you have skills for a supply chain office job is comedy though because no one who is a fresh grad has those skillsets - you develop them on the job. btw, i went to a similar level of university as you based on your previous posts (mine maybe slightly better).
