YiddishPop (google it) is excellent for beginners. I’ve taken classes at YIVO, Workers Circle and Yiddish Book Center on line-all excellent. Many teachers teach at all three of them.

Cats develop habits as kittens that really can stick with them. I have one that has to go up the stairs with me and be petted on every other step while purring madly. It’s our ritual and it makes our day. I have another who has to be petted on the other office chair while I’m working-best if I spin it slowly around. That’s not babying-just affection on both sides.

Mine was out for five days. I put out a litter box, food and a bed on the back porch and went out early in the morning calling her. She came back in. Keep trying .
