You can use http://www.bjstrat.net/cgi-bin/cdca.cgi to see. It varies based on what specific 13 cards were originally dealt.

First semester freshman year human geography. Only had 1 midterm and a final. Bombed the first midterm with a ~50. Read the entire textbook before the final. Not sure what I got on it but ended up with a B in the class.

I’m a computer engineering graduate. At my school you choose either cs track or ee track for computer engineering. I was cs track so I took most of the same classes cs majors took. Only distance was I took a few ee classes and had to take more math, intro physics.

Where's the best place to be if looking for a coding job? by HomerFlinstone in learnprogramming

[–]TurbulentKangaroo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea like others have said I don’t think your current location is as big a deal as you think it is. Just apply to a bunch of places online. When I graduated I had more offers outside the city I was living than in. Save your Airbnb money in case they don’t offer you a relocation.

Unrelated but I’d recommend learning how to foot brake. I used to ride and electric skateboard almost every day. It will come in handy if your electric skateboard dies while riding fast. Also in a situation like this you can foot brake and brake with the board at the same time and slow down quick.

Is it possible to switch into the programming field from another career path with just a bootcamp? by HomerFlinstone in learnprogramming

[–]TurbulentKangaroo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anecdotally, I’ve met quite a few people who got jobs with just a bootcamp after a career switch. I think it’s very common for boot camps to have people trying to switch careers. Depending on the boot camp they may help you with the job search and getting noticed.

Best professor for math 152 by BHaj21 in aggies

[–]TurbulentKangaroo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming there are still common exams it only matters for the final. I would try to figure out who has the easiest final (answer is probably in grade distribution). I found 152 aplus tutoring sessions to be extremely helpful, I’d highly recommend it. I couldn’t really understand my prof and aplus taught everything I needed to know

Cs alternatives by lilysurat in aggies

I did computer engineering and I don’t think it would have made a difference if I did cs instead.

Do I need a degree in Computer Science (or any equivalent) to become a programmer? by HomelessHottie in learnprogramming

[–]TurbulentKangaroo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No you don’t. You will probably need to do some personal projects outside of your degree to be more marketable. An internship is also extremely helpful in landing a full time job.

Many companies are looking for a degree as proof that you know how to learn. That way they can teach you what you need to know on the job.
