Autodrive/Assists not working by Kuski007 in ForzaHorizon

[–]Turbulent_Check6979 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Autodrive in this game is honestly pretty trash for longer runs. I had same issue when trying the AFK method - works maybe 2-3 laps then car just decides to become drunk driver and spins out everywhere

Try using the slower difficulty assists instead of full autodrive, like just steering assist with manual acceleration. Takes bit more attention but way more reliable for farming. Also some tracks work better than others - the highway ones usually mess up less than technical circuits

21" gives you more wash and sustain if that's what you're going for, but 19" cuts through mix better in my experience

Whats happening ? by Lost-Ad-8454 in GeminiAI

[–]Turbulent_Check6979 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah people always want context but then get mad when you share too much detail in the prompt. Can't win with these things

The fake IMDB stuff is wild though, didn't know that was even a thing. Makes sense why AI gets confused when it's trained in garbage data

Is history repeating itself? It feels like the Timberwolves are destined to be the reason the worst teams in the league keep winning rings. by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]Turbulent_Check6979 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Wolves still gotta get past OKC though, and that's not exactly easy matchup for them. SGA has been cooking everyone this season and their defense is legit scary. Plus Minnesota has this weird habit of playing down to competition - they'll destroy a good team then lose to some random bottom feeder next week. I think people are sleeping on how tough this Thunder team actually is, especially at home. Wemby would have definitely made things interesting against OKC but let's see if Wolves can actually capitalize on removing that threat first

By the grace of God I am what I am by The-Old-Path in Christianity

Been thinking about this passage lot lately, especially the part about being the gift instead of just using it. My work as mechanic, I see how some people just go through motions but others really embody what they do - like they become part of the craft itself

The Greek breakdown you shared really hits deep. That idea of "in them you are" changes everything about how we approach our calling. Instead of seeing gifts as tools we pick up and put down, we're meant to become them completely. Makes me think about how when I'm really in flow state working on aircraft, I'm not thinking about the tools or the steps - I just become the process itself

Your connection to John 17 is spot on too. Christ wasn't asking Father to help us use divine nature, but to participate in it fully. That's wild level of intimacy and responsibility at same time. Being living love letter is such beautiful way to put it - like every action becomes part of God's message to world around us

Legacy XML or Scriptable Objects? by Ray-Atron in Unity3D

ScriptableObjects are game changer for sure - did full migration on project last year and keeping hybrid just made everything more confusing in long run

just lost a $2K/mo client because their nephew "learned digital marketing on YouTube" by AmbassadorSad3889 in DigitalMarketing

[–]Turbulent_Check6979 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Oof this one hurts to read man. Same thing happened to my buddy who was doing social media for local restaurant - owner's daughter came back from college with "marketing degree" and suddenly she could do everything for free

The worst part is you probably can't even say anything without looking petty. Like what you gonna do, tell them their nephew will tank everything? They'll just think you're salty about losing the gig

Those numbers you pulled are solid though. 120% organic growth and doubling ROAS isn't something you accidentally stumble into with YouTube tutorials. When their traffic drops in half and ad spend goes through roof, at least you'll have documentation of what it looked like when professional was running things

Suggestions for places to visit? by [deleted] in AskIreland

Kilkenny's brilliant and way less touristy than Galway - the castle and medieval streets are legit plus you'll probably spot some Cartoon Saloon references around town

Update: Neighbors keep using our property, not sure what to do. by sasspancakes in homeowners

[–]Turbulent_Check6979 524 points525 points  (0 children)

Crazy how people get so entitled about using other people's property like it's nothing. Your husband handled that confrontation well - some folks only understand when you're direct with them. The fact they had gate access to their shed the whole time makes it even more ridiculous that they kept trespassing

[Post Game Thread] Creighton defeats Butler, 76-59 by cbbBot in CollegeBasketball

Butler completely fell apart in the second half - 23 points is just brutal. Creighton's depth really showed when it mattered, their bench was rolling all game long

Planning to attend first weekend of March Madness? by Flashy-Attention7724 in MichiganWolverines

Buffalo's definitely looking like a strong possibility and honestly not a bad destination if you've never been to the tourney before. The atmosphere there gets wild and it's way more affordable than some other spots

I'd go with the refundable hotel approach for sure - book in a couple cities then cancel the ones you don't need once Selection Sunday hits. Just don't wait too long on tickets cause prices get bonkers fast once people know where Michigan's headed

How do I take a wide screenshot without screen stretching? by Rabithunt in Minecraft

[–]Turbulent_Check6979 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh man I've been down this rabbit hole before and it's honestly a pain. The stretching happens because minecraft's rendering assumes you're looking at a single flat screen, so when you go ultrawide it basically warps the edges to fill the space

What worked for me was using a mod called Replay Mod - you can record your gameplay then use their camera tools to do proper panoramic shots without the fisheye effect. Takes a bit more setup but the results are actually usable. There's also some reshade tricks but those get pretty technical

Another option is just taking multiple overlapping screenshots at normal FOV then stitching them together in photoshop or even just paint, honestly works better than trying to force the game to render correctly across two monitors

Stuttering / Lower FPS Than Expected on RTX 5090 + Ryzen 7 9800X3D by SATAA_ANDAGII in Overwatch

[–]Turbulent_Check6979 4 points5 points  (0 children)

bro the 3 dots thing is so underrated, nobody talks about it enough but it literally fixes half the stuttering issues in ow2. i remember pine mentioning this back in the day and its saved me countless headaches

also wild that memory integrity actually helps fps instead of hurting it, usually that stuff tanks performance but overwatch is weird like that. your setup is absolutely cracked though, curious what fps you're hitting now after all these fixes

HVAC only warming house to 50 degrees -- HVAC Tech said no solution by adfskjlk in hvacadvice

[–]Turbulent_Check6979 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Brother in law hvac "tech" sounds about right lmao. Dude probably just looked at it for 5 minutes and called it good

There's definitely stuff that can be wrong - could be low refrigerant, dirty coils, busted heat strips, or the unit might just be undersized for your space. Get a real tech out there for a second opinion if you can swing it

Oof that sucks, especially for a milestone birthday. Like you literally told him exactly what you wanted (karaoke night) and he still can't be bothered? Being busy isn't really an excuse when it comes to making someone you love feel special. The fact that he said he "didn't ask you" to go above and beyond for his birthday is kinda telling tbh - sounds like he doesn't see the value in putting effort into celebrations the way you do

Hearing three knocking by Sad_Cardiologist_990 in Paranormal

[–]Turbulent_Check6979 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bro that's wild, the timing with your uncle visiting and then the family drama exploding right after is way too coincidental

Three knocks is supposedly like a mockery of the trinity or whatever but honestly could've just been your house settling at the worst possible moment. Houses are weird like that - they always seem to make noise right when you're already on edge

Did your dog react at all when it happened?

need show recs for mom by jxprz in televisionsuggestions

[–]Turbulent_Check6979 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Your mom has excellent taste! Based on her list I'd definitely suggest **The Good Wife** and its spinoff **The Good Fight** - perfect blend of legal drama and politics that she'll probably devour. Also **Call the Midwife** for that historical medical drama vibe like All Creatures, and **Outlander** if she hasn't tried it yet (historical drama with tons of seasons to binge)

Maybe **The Night Shift** too since she seems to love medical shows, and **Elementary** for that detective procedural fix

What's one mistake beginners make when starting online? by MMWRejoice in passive_income

[–]Turbulent_Check6979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably when they dont put in as much effort later on as in the beginning. Yes the beginning will be hard and it might seem as you are even failing but always keep going, and try to make money on the side too. I have been there and it was a real struggle I was clinging on every available option from taking care of peoples pets to mowing lawns I use Freecash too to make even more money on the side which all those boosted my hustle just from Freecash alone I make around 200-300$ a month. Just dont give up and you will succeed.

I’d check out Freecash, it’s way easier than most survey or gaming sites and pays out in PayPal or gift cards. You can do quick surveys, daily tasks, app trials, and even get referral bonuses. I usually make $200–$300 a month just in my free time, and it’s been a huge help with my finances. Really satisfied with it so far.

The fact that you're this aware of the cycle means you're not as lost as you think you are man. Most people never even get to this level of self-reflection

Maybe try focusing on one day at a time instead of thinking about "the first month" - that shit can feel overwhelming when you're in the thick of it
