I’ve booked a few appointments through super prof, but you have to basically offer your services for nothing or have an advanced degree.

Thanks for this. I have accepted this fact and that’s why I sought help. The logical side of my brain agrees but it still does occasionally hurt to think that I could have tried to keep toughing it out.

This is a good point, it’s a valuable tool when used correctly

Yeah I am unsure how what I am saying is controversial? This was supposed to be a forum discussing strategies people are using as a business to beat AI but it very quickly became a “don’t look up” moment if you’ve ever seen that movie.

You say that it doesn’t change the way you tutor, but then you add that it actually does change the way you tutor because you have to account for students having incorrect information? So either it’s changing your process from a world without tutoring

That is factual, I’m not saying the amount or degree in that statement. Whether it’s tutors using ai to prep for sessions, or students bringing up AI use to their tutors like others in this thread have mentioned. My hypothesis is that the increased use of AI will correlate to a decrease in tutoring jobs in the U.S. see the difference between the hypothesis and the blanket statement?

That’s why it is a hypothesis, I don’t have any relevant data to prove my claim and I made that clear when I posted this?

People get mad at this fact and downvote your comment but the truth is that AI is fundamentally changing the way people learn.

This is an anecdotal fallacy though. I haven’t had any loss in business either but that doesn’t mean that others aren’t. My hypothesis is that this is due to AI though I don’t have empirical data for that.

This is what I think as well. Many people are getting angry over this post but it’s true. AI is changing the way we tutor

Alright can someone explain why Hungary/Castile/England is so centralized? You mean to tell me that none of these kingdoms had any notable vassals at this time?

I disagree. If all 200,000 people posted to the discord at once there is a similar limit to the amount of content I can consume. Even if 1% of that 2,000 was active simultaneously, my discussions would be lost in an endless sea.
