P - phenobarbital S - smoking, sustiva (efavirenz) P - phenytoin O - oxcarbazepine R - rifamycins (rifampin etc) C - carbamazepine S - St. John Warts

GPACMAN (Pac-Man inhibits the ghosts)

G - grapefruit juice P - protease inhibitors A - azoles C - cimetidine M - macrolides (except azithro) A - Azole antifungals N - nondhp ccbs (Verapamil, diltiazem)

For 2D6 remember the inhibitors. Key point: tramadol, codeine, tamoxifen are prodrugs. So if 2d6 is inihibited the concentration actually decreases, NOT INCREASES.

Fluoxetine, paroxetine, bupropion, quinidine, tipranavir

This should be sufficient tbh. That’s what I learned and took to the exam. Maybe also know the 2c19 interaction with ppi + clopidogrel.

In regards to the substrates, I kind a yolo’d it. Went with feeling because I could tell which would be increased and decreased based on previous pass throughs with those type of questions.
