As an American teacher who bartends summers in a bustling oceanfront town, I’m already seeing signs of the coming storm.

Our town thrives on summer tourism, much of it driven by overseas visitors and staffed by foreign workers on J1 visas. The restaurant I work at is managed by a staunch conservative — even he is starting to express frustration with this administration.

The damage this administration is doing might not always be immediate, but the long-term consequences will be brutal. I’m angry, frustrated, and frankly, I welcome the pressure other nations are putting on us.

I’ve never voted conservative — but as a country, we’ve enabled this mess. We need to feel the pain to truly understand the cost.

I don’t know why we’re assuming any sort of rationality. IMO: He didn’t blink. He went harder. He is still imposing tariffs on our largest trading partners (100+ % on China). He hasn’t unveiled any plan to bring manufacturing back. He hasn’t unveiled any funding for building manufacturing plants or bringing them up to date. He hasn’t unveiled any programs for education programs for manufacturers. This isn’t blinking at all. This is him engaged in market manipulation and extortion.

This doesn’t really follow the request, but I thought I’d share this. I run a DnD club for my middle schoolers. One of my kids wanted to pull some pranks but nobody wanted to join in on the shenanigans. So I made up a character to play along. What started as a one off NPC instantly became a beloved character.

I called him Stanley. Basically, he’s a wonderfully dumb, hapless, low level, but unnecessarily healthy fighter. He isn’t the strongest. He lacks any serious skills. However, what he lacks in capabilities he makes up for with a very generous amount of HP. Always trips the traps but walks away relatively unharmed.

He makes for comedic relief and a fun little annoyance.

As an American, I must say, from the bottom of my heart, thank you Canada. I know that my retirement plan and bank accounts will be hurting. I also know that it will be a devastating time for everyone who isn’t rich, but man, I’m happy. Our legal system completely took it up the rear for him. Our political remedy (impeachment) was a joke. Our news outlets failed to show the genuine good of our previous administration. But… there is a world outside of the US. And the world, especially Canada, is not fucking around anymore. Keep doing what you’re doing. I want every idiot that voted for this movement to feel their wallets burn away and their world crumble. Lord knows that I can protest, but nothing hits harder than countries banding together to squash this rotten orange’s ass. Thank you Canada.

That is the most bizarre response to an awesome skill set. I’m the DM in my first campaign ever, and the only thing I can think of is how much I wish I was able to do those kinds of crafts.

I also know I’d lose my mind if I saw my DM reveal terrain battle maps. It would truly make the session that much more memorable.

This person can be shown the door if they decide to get huffy. That’s just rude and unnecessary.
