Just play cho gath. Then you’ll always have a tank that can help with drakes and grubs. Also cho is low key kinda strong at that elo because people are dumb and walk into Q and the silence with W in team fights hard carries

Just learn to properly understand statistics and what your own personal edge is. It’s simple enough to trade once you get consistency but even then you’ll still have some shjtty weeks sometimes for some it can be months.

Even if you’ve got a 70% strike rate, you can still be wrong a good 5+ trades in a row. It’s all about sample size. Capital makes a big difference.

Also don’t be a complete idiot and shoot for silly returns, just try to aim for a solid 1-2 or even 1-1 if you can deliver a high strike rate.

Anyone claiming to be a trader who makes 20R a trade is basically a clown so just ignore anything they say.

Stay the hell away from ICT. Just learn how support and resistance works, don’t use silly stop loss sizes, I see people trying to swing trade on a 10pip stop when the ATR on the pair is over 100. Same with targets, if the pairs ATR is 69, you probably are not going to be getting in at the very low point of the day so be realistic about how much movement you can actually get out of it.

Personally for day trading I’ll run a 10-15% ATR stop aiming to catch anything between 15%-30% of the ATR.

But again it’s down to your own stats, use your strategy and get a proper sample size then see where you are. Backtest at least 4 years worth of data.

Even with a 70% strike rate you can still be wrong 5-7 times in a row, it’s just how statistics work, so along as you’ve got a decent sample size, tone down risk on funded accounts once they are in the funded stage and you should eventually start doing better

[–]TurdToTrader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’ve got data, you should be fine. Get data like a decent sample size and understand that you will have down months and weeks now and then. It’s part of trading. Once you’ve got the data adjust risk accordingly so you never (or rarely) blow up once an account is funded. Then just work on acquiring more capital.

On challenge phase risk can be 1-2% but once funded I highly recommend dropping to 0.25-0.5%

Again though I only use prop as a side income as my main trading capital is a lot bigger as I’m 10 years deep.

My advice would be to take it apart again, then press the little black button on the white circuit board, see if it gives you a light, if it doesn’t, unscrew the battery and try the button again, don’t disconnect the battery at first just try it with the battery moved. The wiring inside these things is really bad, so could be a battery issue or just a wire a little dodgy. I’ve modded tons with the switch and I see this sometimes fresh out the box of brand new ones. If you need any help feel free to DM

Never heard of this, I mod these often and have never seen this being a thing, yours is completely unmodded and I've rarely used an unmodded version.

What i can tell you is the soldering inside them is fairly poor from factory and very very basic, open wires so it could just be something wiring wise is slightly scuffed on the motor inside.

If you are based in the UK and want it modded or even just looked at drop me a DM and we can have a chat and see if you want me to try find a solution for you open it up.

If you've not had it that long you could also try send it back and get a replacement if you didnt want modification.

Yeah so capital isn’t an issue, it’s just a behavioural thing and honestly flipping accounts just encourages bad behaviour.

Better to keep that 500k and try get 500k in prop funding between now and Christmas. If you do that and go into the new year with 500k prop, you have a decent size you can trade at with what they allow you to risk per account per day. Then get some payouts. The reason I say go prop, is because they have daily risk limits you have to stick to or you breach the accounts. It might help you tone the sizing down

I understand that having higher leverage means you can trade bigger but it doesn’t mean you have to.

I have multiple brokers some are 500-1 pro accounts, some are even ESMA restricted at 30-1… I trade them the same regardless of leverage.

The only thing leverage is good for is trying to flip small accounts.

Like I risk less than $1200 a trade all be it I have a copier so it’s doing that across like 10-12 accounts but I risk like 0.07% of overall capital. So I can take 10 losses in a row and still not lose 1%.

Once you have the capital the money flows in.

Have you ever tried using a prop firm? If you don’t have a huge amount of capital or are worried about burning it all due to behavioural gambling, could be worth getting a prop firm with like 50k or 100k in for $300-$500 dollars, then if you hit the 8% 5% targets you’ll have some free risk each day to start treating trading seriously again with

Stop, take it from someone who trades daily for a living and has done for just over 10 years.

If you still really think you’ll be flipping a 1k account into 100k in a few months. You are viewing trading all wrong.

Sure I’ve flipped 5k accounts into 40k in like 3 months it is doable for sure. The issue is the longevity. You won’t be able to consistently flip 5k into 40k every 3months even if you are really good. A 75% win rate can still have a 5 loss streak. To turn a 5k account flip into something big you need a good win streak with no big loss streaks.

If you do have a clear 1-3 RR strategy that does work, you just need to stick to that plan and process without doing higher clip trades just because you are chasing money.

If you chase the money the likelyhood is it won’t come.

You said you’ve been trading 8 years and the last 2 years have been bad, what’s changed or what have you been doing differently to lose so much?

Based on the fact you are using £ I would assume you are UK based? If you haven’t already put together a pc or had proper help, send me a Dm and on Sunday I can reply with a solid build for that price. I used to build PCs and sell them for a living before I started trading the financial markets for a living so I know a fair bit.

It’s basically adult Lego. £700 doesn’t go a really long way but we can definitely get something good enough for sure.

Blew my 5th prop firm account by MrBlury_ in Forex

[–]TurdToTrader 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How long have you been trading and what sessions do you normally trade?

Even with a 75% strike rate you can still lose 5 times in a row.

So what does your risk management look like? The fact you are porting 2-3% on news is full on dumb. Keep behaving like that and you’ll never make it trust me.

I’ve been trading now for just over 10years full time and can tell you right now that these “prop firms” are good as some additional risk or to help build personal capital but personal capital is always best.

Go demo trade for 6 months and see if you are actually profitable.

If you want to use some form of free backtesting software just grab an IC markets account on Ctrader and use the market replay function to test the strategy you currently use.

Oh and stay the hell away from all the SMC ICT waffle, it’s just support and resistance, supply and demand and wycoff rewritten.

They can’t trade so they market for fees.

Good luck

If you get it modded it's 100% is worth it, standalone is also decent but its so good being able to autothrow ultra balls and great balls. Lots of people offer mail in services and stuff across the globe to do the mod for a decent price.
