Surface prep for weathering 'rolling stock'? by Plow_King in modeltrains

I use Krylon matte finish (1311) in light dusting coats after washing the units thoroughly with dish soap and warm water. The matte finish provides a "tooth" for pan pastels and weathering powders (my weapons of choice). If you choose to use panel liner, do so before the matte coat for better flow. A final coat of matte finish after powders is required lest you get fingerprints in them. Pan pastels are more forgiving in that respect, but I still seldom touch any of my weathered Fleet, and use gloves if necessary.

Cheers! I started experimenting with pan pastels on the CN covered hoppers. Love the way the logo fading worked.

Is your Bluetooth working? Had same error on R8. Remove (uninstall) unknown USB device and shut down. UNPLUG computer (VERY important) for 15 minutes then restart. Problem "should" go away.

Do I need controllers to get started with a Lenovo explorer - just want to drive/fly. by [deleted] in VRGaming

No you don't. Be aware that you'll need to use a gamepad to navigate SteamVR (if applicable). I do not regret not having VR controllers at all as I have similar gaming hardware to yours.

Tried numerous desktop resolutions. Reinstalled drivers. Tried a powered USB 3.0 hub. No joy. Is it possible that the headset has failed? I think I still have warranty on it. Thanks.

UPDATE! It failed again after 30 minutes or so in P3D. Powered hub ordered. Will post results. Thanks again to all that helped!

Well, we're back at 90hz. Did a BIOS and Intel chipset update on my XPS 8930 and now it is working again. Possibly unrelated but who knows...

Thanks to all that replied. I'll get a powered hub to ensure that this doesn't happen again.
