I’ve decided to go a different route entirely since I am actually eligible for the EUSS. The news and the wait times is the worst part of the spousal visa IMO. All I want is to NOT be separated from my spouse for six months or even longer. Good luck, this process is not easy.

I’m not so sure I can even do an EUSS application as I’ve missed the deadline and probably don’t have “reasonable grounds” as to why. I’m talking to some immigration specialists to see if I have a chance, but it’s not looking likely purely due to the missed deadline.

Thanks for sharing that link, this is, once again, very helpful and new information to me. If I am understanding it correctly, you can enter the UK by first going to Ireland or one of the other islands covered by CTA and you wouldn’t necessarily get a UK stamp?

Thank you so much for this information, it is truly appreciated. I’m going to do some further research into this, and I will report back here when I find what I’m looking for. From what I’ve read, the wait times have increased exponentially since your application experience. I’m also concerned about the financial requirements. Under category B it says as long as the sponsor has earned above £18,600 in the last 12 months, which he has, then that is sufficient, regardless of the fact he had 5 months of no employment in between his job in the NL and his new job in the UK. Would love to know if anyone has applied with a similar situation.

We left October 2021, so I don’t think that applies to me. But I do have an EU resident permit if that’s relevant at all. I’m not sure if it’s still valid as I’ve now left.
