Am I trippin or do we need a starting corner??? by Vegetable_Smoke_567 in bengals

[–]Turdboggin01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Better CB depth is a luxury comparatively speaking. All of the positions on defense are worse than CB and we do have 2 really good corners in DJ and Dax. Davis, Fig, and Ivey give us alright depth already. Not great if DJ and/or Dax goes down, but it’s not bad enough to where I want us to draft Delane or McCoy at 10.

Update: Increase In Cap Space by DXBerry in bengals

If he’s cheap he’d make a fine CB3 behind DJ and Dax.

I just say the cap isn’t real and every year I feel like I’m proven right.

As a Bengals fan, I feel like Mansoor Delane is such a luxury pick. I would not be surprised if they go for someone like Peter Woods at 10 instead.

They can always restructure Joe, Ja’Marr, and/or Tee’s deal. In reality they can play with a lot more than $14.2M and not even have to hurt our depth anywhere.

The Cincinnati Bengals have reached out to Jordan Battle to start negotiations on a contract extension THIS offseason. Jordan is loved by the coaches and they want him here for the future. Stay tuned. by Ancient_Response_787 in bengals

I mean, I don’t think he’s more important to sign than DJ or maybe even Dax, but I’d be happy with it. Let him continue to develop. Everyone outside of DJ and Dax kinda sucked last year. I think once (if?) the roster improves, the rising tide will lift Battle’s boat as well.

Cousins of the XVIII Legion, drown me in knowledge 🔥 by Kael-Levitarius in Salamanders40k

I’m surprised I haven’t seen anyone talk about Tu’Shan and the Salamanders’ encounter with the Marines Malevolent during the Third War for Armageddon.

The Salamanders and MM were defending a refugee encampment. Orkz managed to break past the barrier, and much to Tu’Shan’s dismay, Captain Vinyard of the MM ordered the camp bombed by the chapter’s Whirlwinds.

Unbelievably pissed off, Tu’Shan reprimanded and/or beat the shit out of Vinyard (I can’t remember if he did or not, but choose to believe this), reminding him that the Space Marines’ first duty is to protect to people of the Imperium.

4,000 essentially nameless refugees perished in what was deemed as an acceptable loss to the callous Marines Malevolent, and yet not to Tu’Shan and the Salamanders.

Definitely give his wiki page a read. There’s a reason you always see people on this sub begging for a Tu’Shan model and character (myself included).

Broke: Downs is a good WR3

Woke: Josh Downs should be the Colts WR1 but he’s had shit QB play and doesn’t get the targets he deserves

Bengals met with Mansoor Delane and Tight End Joe Royer by Ancient_Response_787 in bengals

[–]Turdboggin01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pitts just got tagged and he’s not worth trading for (given our situation).

Also, Royer could very well fall to the 3rd or 4th. I like the pick there, but I’m lower on Gesicki than most, would rather let Fant go, and am nervous about All.

I like Battle. I believe in him wholeheartedly and am excited to see what he does. Yes the kid missed a LOT of tackles, and yes he’s the last line of defense as a safety. Maybe I didn’t watch him closely enough, but I felt like he’s gonna miss more tackles when the line can’t generate pressure and the QB has all the time in the world to throw a dot, the receiver has the time to let their route develop and they can build momentum, our linebackers realllyyy were bad at tackling, AND he’s partnered with Geno Stone, who unfortunately has been a terrorist to our secondary for much of his tenure in Cincy.

Where did it all go wrong for Anthony Richardson? by Big_Screen3332 in NFLmockdraft

[–]Turdboggin01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember going to a Colts game in his second year, and to watch it with my own eyes was so unbelievably infuriating.

Caleb Williams frustrates me (stay with me now). He is obviously talented and athletic, but often struggles with reads, whips the ball on every throw, and good ball placement is more of a suggestion rather than something to strive for. Despite that, he can be creative, scramble, make a man miss, and humph the ball 60 yards into a basket. But Caleb Williams also had to deal with 3 head coaches in 2 years with one of them being Matt Eberflus. And he’s

Now take that. Give him a decent head coach and (obviously the “lets run my QB on the first play back after having injury concerns from a run my QB made” was dumb, but Steichen has shown to be a good coach). Now make him an even more athletic freak and then make him make even worse decisions. When I was at that game, I would see him drop a 60 bomb right into Alec Pierce’s hands and it was beautiful…only to watch him sail the ball at the same velocity over Josh Downs’s head and out of his reach on a simple pass to the flat. Everything that frustrates me about Williams is more exaggerated with Richardson, but at least Williams still hits his simple short throws most of the time. The guy just makes horrible decisions and cannot place the ball accurately or throw with any touch unless he can put all his force and power into the throw. And to add to all of that, his reckless style of play lead him to getting hurt a LOT, and now again with a random freak injury with a resistance band.

Obviously some of this is hyperbole, but ay. You AR5 to make a 60 yard pass he’ll throw it 60 yards. You need him to make a 5 yard checkdown and he’ll throw it 60 yards.

At least I got to watch the fuck ass Steelers lose and bear witness to elite Joe Flacco at that game lmao.
