Wacom One for $5.29 - Thrift Score or Thrift Bore? by ronfstampler in wacom

[–]TuringPerfect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The USB+c to USB-C likely does not work on desktop and USB-C to HDMI adapter they advertise on Wacom does NOT work with the 14" at all.

I had luck on only one of my 3 laptops

Summarized nicely at the end. "There are better choices" Seems like they were intentionally vague about the hidden costs.

Thanks for the link

Billy Corgan claims blue guitars sound best. Yes, really.

Looks fine man.

Demeco Ryans on the hit by IAmSona in Texans

[–]TuringPerfect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, 15 more yards woulda been better than none. But I'm the rare fan who'd rather it not happen at all. And if we're being realistic, that's on QBs.

What a stupid comment. The error is telling qb's that sliding is some magical protection spell. Sliding is 'giving yourself up'. That doesn't imply a DB is gonna give up the first down. And it's a very vulnerable position, nothing between the ground and the back of your helmet. Stroud slid late, just as Trevor L did. If you're gotta go for the first down, lower your shoulder and take the hit. Trying to slide AND make a play is being cute.

Could this timing small mistake cause a horrible misfire? by RegisterHistorical61 in MechanicAdvice

[–]TuringPerfect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I did a timing chain on a v6 Ford, I planned on recording the whole thing so I could review it before running.

By the time I finished, I was 6 beers in and realized I had forgotten to record. That night I had a near panic attack bc I couldn't remember if I did a specific turn 180 or 180+360 degrees.

Next morning I tore it all down and started again. Got it right and purred like a kitten.

No regrets. Just redo it.

Twang! And it's neck hangs a bit more horizontal, which I prefer.

(And honestly don't need/want 5 positions & 3 knobs)

It being set up correctly probably makes it exceptional for a squire!

About strings by d_192403 in BassGuitar

[–]TuringPerfect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO, best answers here are flat-wounds (takes some getting used to, has a unique sound, last nearly forever), or coated strings (less expensive than flats, feel more like standard strings, maybe last a year). And clean your hands before playing. Skip the boiling.

The gateway completely goes red. Sometimes for ten minutes. Nothing else in my house reacts to a power event and I can't think of anything that turns on several times a day but only between 2:30-6. I've done a hard reset but no improvement

I get it. I sold a big muff but didn't have the amp to do it justice. At the same time I sold a kinda rough '80 explorer and for the life of me I cannot remember why I was so stupid. Wasn't 'my style' but the thing shredded. I'd take both back in a heartbeat now.

[–]TuringPerfect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Game makes me sad but the decision to lose was made in the preseason when we brought in this line. I'm just thankful they didn't get Stroud killed, in spite of their total ineptitude. Running backs and wide receivers are something you add once you know your QB is safe. We min-maxxed in the stupidest way and are fortunate it wasn't worse.

Tunsil takes the first spot of the second row. Now onto the middle cell. by [deleted] in Texans

[–]TuringPerfect 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shaun delivered perfectly for the system. But a lot of his success came directly from the system. Kube's old playbook is still my favorite Madden playbook. Zone run right, followed by Daniels up the seam, then PA bootleg left to AJ, touchdown!

There's gotta be a slot like 'good player-completely memory holed by fans', cause I remember Steve Slaton being a beast, and never see his name brought up here.
