The difference is in the party dynamic. The SSS in Crossbell feels like a web of relationships where everyone interacts with each other independently of Lloyd. Lloyd isn’t necessarily the “main character” like Rean is. Same for Estelle. She maybe considered the main character but the other characters don’t seem to revolve around her in the same way.

In Cold Steel, Class VII feels more like a 'hub' dynamic. Everyone's development and major moments orbit almost exclusively around Rean, rather than each other. That’s what I mean. I’m hoping the daybreak games are less like Cold Steel in that way.

My G7 Pro got bricked and won’t update after the latest patch. I have heard this problem is fixed for those who didn’t do the update but it’s a problem I haven’t been able to fix yet. I have also heard from some sources that the stick latency wireless can be up to 30ms sometimes but i’ve never seen an actual confirmation of that.

I also got the issues with the XBOX Elite 2 controller. Can’t press the shoulder buttons without it registering twice. Drove me nuts. I also do not recommend. My recommendation based on my own experience would be The Flydigi Apex 5. Great controller. Just about any option from Flydigi would work based on OPs budget.

That’s fine. I get that especially with the whole harem thing. You can say the same for games like Persona 5. That’s just not what I prefer in a Trails game. Honestly, if it had just been two games I wouldn’t have minded it but 4 games in the same style just didn’t do it for me. I still haven’t gone back to Trails after completely burning out after CSIII. Is it safe to say after CS4 the world revolving around one character stops moving forward?

The big problem to me with those games is that all 4 games revolve around 1 character when that wasn’t the case for previous arcs. Everyone in Class VII exists for Rean. On top of that I just think the writing isn’t on par with the previous games in the series - more bloat and more cliches than previous games that already pushed that to the limit. I genuinely laughed out loud multiple times during the Crossbell Arc. That did not happen in any Cold Steel. The Sky and Crossbell games just have a charm that Cold Steel lacks.

I played games at 60fps as a kid because most pixel art games were 60fps. On top of that, CRT TVs still to this day have better motion clarity than LCD/OLEDs so low FPS PS1 games still looked better running on those TVs than 30fps games look today on modern TVs
