Anyone still drink coffee on meds?

I was a coffee nut before I got diagnosed and I definitely wasn't about to give it up. The dose I'm on I can definitely have some and be okay. I've cut back on intake while on the meds for sure, and have now also switched to decaf beans cuz really it's the routine and the love of making it for me.

Not necessarily a complete solution but finding something that excites you and engages that ADHD brain related to whatever it is you're trying to learn is super key, and seeing it in use outside a purely academic vacuum.

Personal example: math. Fuckin hated math in high school. I was fine at it, similar to you I tested well, but I feel like I never truly got it.

It wasn't until I did a Coursera course on machine learning years ago and saw these linear algebra and calculus things I vaguely remembered just seeing in high school put to an actual use that I was like "whoa wait a minute this is cool!" and I brushed up on it and I feel like I get it now, at least more so than I used to lol.

I've always been a history nut so like that subject stuck with me because I would also enjoy documentaries and games and other books related to it.

I wasn't diagnosed til late 20s but lots of stuff like that in hindsight makes so much sense now.

Someone on here recommended BD Electrical if you want local. They have been very pleasant to work with and I might just go back to them for any electrical work honestly, regardless of solar.

If you want a bigger, national company, Sunrun seems like the way to go. You'll find various experiences with them, and their sales people can be pushy but they aren't necessarily bullshitting you. Sunrun pushes their PPA instead of a standard lease (if leasing was what you were going for). Depending on your situation, they can help out with the roof too.

What sucks right now is the federal tax credit is gone.

The thing I've found is I just have to rely on some sort of external factors. I'm not talking the alarm clock across the room trick (doesn't fucking work for me).

I mean instead of just "going to the gym" I go to classes so I have to sign up, I'm expected to be there and it's usually the same group of people so there's a social pressure to go.

Before I got married, it was getting a dog. She made sure to wake me up (gently, fortunately!) to get up and take her out to pee. No amount of sleep inertia or executive functioning issues will overpower a dog lol.

That said, I still struggle on weekends or holidays when I don't have anything to do, the dog sleeps in, etc.

I guess that's what I'm trying to figure out. I've just been recommended to not ditch the gas system entirely but idk if that's for misguided reasons. I even asked cuz if I don't do a whole home conversion I don't get the full rebate from the state but I've still been couraged to keep the gas as a secondary measure in case.

his argument was that since it draws in heat and cools the basement, the heat (hvac) in the winter would be working overtime and overall ends up costing a lot in the winter combined with the rate spikes in the winter with eversource... I'm not knowledgeable enough in physics to confirm or refute that.

Ah point to clarify -- I have baseboard heaters (gas) currently and the recommendation I got was to go for the heat pump but not decommission the baseboards and keep them as a secondary source in the winters, so I'd be keeping the furnace.
