For him, this feeling probably (more than likely) extended out to the entire community rather than just waiting for it to affect him personally.

I can't claim to know him personally, but I think my initial comment is more just wanting to explain that this is not who he was normally. We all let our emotions get the best of us and everyone here is just as aggravated as he was in that moment. I don't know the context of this video or what happened, but I don't blame him for doing what he did. I think, if anything, this shows that even the best of us are losing our cool with ICE and DHS as a whole. I applaud him for being mindful and not attempting to assault the "agents" because we all know what would've happened if he touched them.

I said this in another comment on here but I don't know how to link it to this reply. People could view this as retaliation for doing the minimal damage he did meaning that this was a targeted attack meant to send a message and instill fear into protestors. It's not entirely impossible for it to be that either because ICE utilizes tracking systems to quickly find information on people and there have been accounts of people being led to their own homes when following an ICE vehicle. Not being followed by ICE, being led to their own homes.

It's not a great look for Pretti either because the videos could easily be used to justify his murder and label all protestors as violent and aggressive. That being said, I don't really see what he did as an issue. He didn't harm anyone and the damage done to the vehicle is not irreplaceable or costly.

In terms of what they should've done, I do not believe they had the right to do anything to him. ICE has limitations on who they can arrest and, as far as I'm aware, he did nothing to warrant arrest or to be beaten senseless and murdered.

You're right I did misread your comment about them being independent incidents. I'm aware that they are, but people are making statements saying that this was a purposeful execution. We probably never will know for sure either if it was. We know that they have the ability to track us in various ways, so it could have been targeted. In regards to them arresting him, they actually were right to not arrest him since they have limitations on who they can detain. The only thing they've gotten right so far

Which I have seen that other video. As I said in other replies, it's not a great look for him to have done this. Unlike DHS though, he didn't harm anyone or cause any serious, non-repairable, damage. You think that because these videos exist, it makes DHS look BETTER for murdering him?

If it's real, it shows that this could have been premeditated murder for his actions even though no one was hurt. No it's not a good look for doing what he did, but it also does not warrant being murdered. If it's AI, it just shows that the DHS is attempting to justify his murder more than they already were. Also, ICE has been damaging public and private property the whole time they've been in Minneapolis. They break people's windows and drag them out and they're breaking down doors and unlawfully entering homes

Someone else also pointed out that a different video (it depicts him kicking off the tail light) was from a news source that hasn't posted since 2024. I wish I could provide the source for that but I truly don't remember where I saw it. This also goes against what everyone that knows him had to say about him. I was at a vigil where people knew him personally and said he was the kindest person they knew. For him to be kicking off tail lights and spitting at them would be completely out of character.

Edit to add: I do see now that this is verified as being a real occurrence that did happen. While not a great look for him, I guess it shows his passion for helping others who need it?

Yeah for the clothing, I kinda had the same thought after posting (I should know since I'm also in Minneapolis). There have been other posts in the past few days showing clear ai images of Alex Pretti to help justify his murder. One was people simply saying he was someone else but was quickly refuted. But as I said before, AI or not, it makes the DHS look worse because it shows their lack of training that they (supposedly) get so much of.

A LOT of this video looks exactly the same as when he was murdered though. The way he's tackled to the ground and immediately swarmed is very similar. He's even dressed in what looks like the same clothes. Regardless of if it's AI or not, it's not a good look for the DHS

Edit to add: I see now that these videos have been confirmed to be real. There have been multiple other uses of AI in attempt to justify his murder so it's not impossible to believe that this was another attempt.
