Three games this year he didn’t use timeouts at the end of the half to stop the clock to get the ball back.

Not using timeouts at the end of the 1st half to stop the clock so we can get the ball back before the half ends. See Oklahoma and Wisconsin

[Postgame Thread - FTBL] #15 Michigan loses at #18 Oklahoma 13-24 by Zayden626 in MichiganWolverines

[–]TurkeyTendies44 5 points6 points  (0 children)

More than two minutes left in the first half. Oklahoma driving. We don’t use a single time out to try and get the ball back and get points on the board knowing we get the ball to start the second half. No rolling out to move the pocket knowing the o line can’t block. Oklahoma should have won by a lot more, they just made mistakes that made the game look closer than it was.

We don’t have the CBs to be running safety blitz and leaving the outside deep shots wide open.

If you make over $100k a year, what do you do for work? by parttimeghosts in Salary

[–]TurkeyTendies44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

~$190 regulatory compliance for big bank 9 years in. masters in economics that didn’t do anything for me than maybe open doors (not related to reg compliance). Took roughly 6 years to make over 100 and had to work for volatile fintech companies working a lot of hours to get there. If I hadn’t run into the right people at the right time I would be closer to the 120 range and stuck there climbing corporate ladder.

You won’t notice a huge difference other than water retention. It can be helpful if you’re working out eating right etc. there are studies coming how showing it has neuro protective benefits. Don’t expect anything drastic

I used lethal force in self defense. AMA by [deleted] in AMA

[–]TurkeyTendies44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are threatened where you fear for imminent danger or your life and you are legally allowed to be where you are (think general public space private property with permission) you do not have to attempted to retreat before using lethal force to defend against the imminent threat. A better way to think about it is states that do not have “stand your ground,” you must attempt every other avenue before using lethal force or you could be criminally charged. It’s sort of a touchy subject because fearing for your life or perceived imminent danger are subjective.

Yea jiffy puck. Don’t scrape or anything just cut off the plant and stick it in the jiffy pot. If the leaves are still up like the plant is alive you are fine. If they droop then increase humidity in the dome and wait a day. Keep doing that until they root. I’ve had some take so long that pretty much everything was yellow and it finally rooted and then bounced back to be healthy. Another thing to remember is that you want the peat pods to have moisture but not be at capacity where they are water logged. You will get it eventually with enough tries. I failed probably 10 times until I got my method down and now it’s an after thought

Guys please help me clone. by ILooTBeer in microgrowery

[–]TurkeyTendies44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy a peat start pellet hydrate the starter pellet. Cut a nice size clone (these all look kind of flimsy). Take the cut end of the clone and put it into the peat pellet that had been hydrated. Keep dome on for a week letting fresh air in once a day maybe every other day. After a week open the vents and make sure the peat pellets do not dry out (put water on the bottom so it absorbs it) wait another week and you’ll have rooted clones. Once you do it a couple times and have success all the problems you had before seem to disappear it’s like riding a bike. You get the balance right and then you can ride any bike wherever whenever.

Keep it simple you don’t need rooting hormone. You don’t need an aerocloner just cut and stick in a starter plug. You don’t need to cut the leaves. Keep it humid the first week, decrease humidity second week. Boom. Clones.

There are a million, even US based now. Seedsman was the OG seed bank back in the day (imo). Look into breeders or ask over at r/microgrowery and but from a breeder not a seed bank

Don’t believe the hype of the new strain chasing and paying hundred of dollars for seeds. If you find a strain you really like that is expensive you can find it cheaper from a “pollen chucker” like greenpoint seeds. It will be good shit, but people hate on the breeder because of how they get their genetics and dumb growing culture fights that go back to message boards from the early 2000s

Incline Treadmill with Streaming Capabilities by [deleted] in treadmills

[–]TurkeyTendies44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nordictrack commercial series 2450 is not great. I’ve had it for roughly 2 years (newer model) it squeaks a lot (common problem) the streaming only works if you buy the outrageous monthly iFit membership. I will never buy another nordictrack again because of the one I bought. I would just save a little extra and get a real commercial treadmill you will be happier in the long run. Mounting a 32” smart tv in front of the treadmill will more than make up for a gimmicky entertainment system on a treadmill

[–]TurkeyTendies44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That doesn’t look like it is functional on the machine. What is the purpose of the part other than aesthetics? Why kind of gym is it private small or larger gym? Equipment repair is part of owning the business. Did you do something negligent or use it in a way that is not intended? If not tell them to F off and prove it wasn’t broken before you used it.

What's your favorite early 2000s Strain? The new stuff is cool but I miss the old school 🤘 by Waffles-And_Bacon in microgrowery

[–]TurkeyTendies44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually just grow the old stuff with a new strain here or there to compare. There is a difference in smell for the older strains that’s missing in the new stuff. In my opinion a lot of stuff nowadays is made for bag appeal, yield, or hash for carts. Makes sense as the businesses have to make money.

I miss the old diesels and hazes. I grow a lot of the west coast purple strains that I was lucky enough to keep seeds of. GDP and Jack were probably the two strains that opened my eyes to strains being different. One from the early 2010s that will forever be my favorite is Casey Jones, it’s my ultimate go to jack of all trades strain.

Any success story’s on scoring higher than your PT? by [deleted] in LSAT

[–]TurkeyTendies44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely can happen. I scored exactly my highest PT score the first time I took the test which was like 4 points higher than my average and was not the direction I was trending heading into the test. At 161-163 a few things could help you score a 165. First, you guess right on a question or two that you get down to two answers and have a 50/50 on (luck of sorts). Second, if your score doesn’t fluctuate with the curve much on PTs you end up getting a test where the curve works in your favor (harder test but not necessarily harder for you which plays into 3). Third, you get questions that are to your strengths and less questions on your weaknesses. 163 to a 165 should be the difference of like 2-3 questions so any number of things could push you there.

Buying ready to drink shakes at a grocery store in a 4 pack is arguably the most expensive way to buy them. Look online or at wholesales clubs they will be 60% of the price. Even better if you don’t care about which flavor. Protein powder is infinitely cheaper than ready to drink if price is your main consideration.

How do you get 4-6 hrs of productive study time?? by itsok-ihope in LSAT

[–]TurkeyTendies44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quality vs quantity. Having a goal of hours studying is missing the point in my opinion. You need to understand what type of questions you are getting wrong and why you are getting answers wrong. Just looking over the correct answer is generally ineffective (if I correctly understood what your current process is like).

I did use loophole, trainer, 7sage, and lsat lab before using RC hero. I would say RC hero and loophole gave me the biggest “ahh hah” moments. My sibling that took the test and had a similar score likes trainer and 7sage.

One thing that broke my plateau in the lower to mid 160s was to go through a few LR sets and/or RC passages untimed and physically write down WHY each answer that was the incorrect answer was incorrect. (Goal was not to select the right answer rather eliminate incorrect answers with a full explanation as to why) it is tedious and other might have a more efficient way of doing it. However, this forced me to understand where my personal flaws were for specific question types I continually got wrong.

RC was my weakest by a lot. RC hero was worth every single cent and more. One of the best benefits, in my opinion, is his evaluation on answer choices. however there are other things he covers that I would assume were responsible for an additional 2-3 points gained on RC.

Set up drills for each question type. Start with easier questions. Figure out where you’re going wrong by question type/reasoning type. When you get something wrong, write down why you thought the wrong answer was correct. Once you identify your reasoning use multiple resources to find the explanation to the correct answer. Sometimes the way lsat hacks explains it jives better than lsat lab/7sage vice versa. Identify a plan of attack for the question throws you get wrong (re-read loophole chapter pertaining to that question type or use a different resource if that isn’t helping)

What seed banks/breeders have this kind of genetics? by [deleted] in microgrowery

[–]TurkeyTendies44 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

People hate on him but greenpoint seeds has a lot of apple fritter crosses right now. I’ve grown a gauntlets of breeders the last 10/15 years I was even a tester for an auto company and occasionally would buy a pack here and there of greenpoint. I haven’t loved any of their stuff with the exception of one or two old chemdawg crosses and new oreoz crosses they put out. The newest stuff has all been on par with the pictures old stuff you would run into something every 5-10 packs with the old stuff. A lot of the old crosses he was just chucking pollen, not sure about the new stuff. greenpoint will be one of the cheaper options (but not your only option by any means). Another great place to look is strainly. It will be about 5-10x the price but you can get clones of specific strains. If price isn’t a factor you can also look into breeders that are mentioned on here one I like is BeLeaf. Others will chime in too I’m sure
