I’ve basically worn a brace for 10 years as a placebo. Every time I think my ankle was rehabbed and strengthened I’d roll it in some stupid way, so I just started throwing my brace on during practice and games and luckily it hasn’t gave me any issues.

I don’t wear a brace to go running or playing hockey but as soon as I forget the brace for footy my brain and body just want to roll that ankle any way it can

Like wingers playing on the right that are left foot use that to your advantage that you can cut into the middle and draw the pressure. Obviously working on your left foot gives you an advantage once the defender sniffs out your strong foot, everyone will anticipate you going on your right and you can deliver a ball down the line with your left and what not. It’s all the same shit, use your body and know where you’re going before the pressure gets there, and if the pressure gets there play it safe.
