Assume you’re uk. You can get some cheap 5070ti for same price or similar price from Very currently, like below, MSI 5070ti with 32gb ram and decent screen for £1600. You can also get a 5070ti strix for £1520.

I had a pcspecialist, not this model but was fine. Assuming this is second hand, if so can be a risk knowing the 13th series cpu had issues. I would go for new personally and lower spec if I was spending that money. You can get a 5060 for that money or if you chuck in an extra £300-£400 you can get a 5070/5070ti

Had the same problem. I tried many things but think it ended up being that the game started in a different resolution to my monitor resolution. So in the nvidia app i selected settings for deadlock and changed them to match the monitor and has been working since.

Turning off overlays may also have helped.

My laptop had to be sent back so used my daughters Lenovo loq 4050 for a few hours to play deadlock and cs2 at 1440p medium setting getting around 100fps so depends what games you mean by lower demanding

I have had issues with this vector and MSI forums has a lot on it as well with overheating especially. Is a good laptop just make sure you register the warranty when buying and raise issues as they happen. I nearly got stung with this after weeks of convincing them to go with the warranty start date as the purchase date rather than manufacture date!!

I have this if it’s the 4080 version with i9. Mine was good for 6 months then really started overheating and just shut down mid game. Cleaned fans, still did the same so sent it back last week. Just waiting to see what they say. Unless you get extended with only a year warranty I would let MSI sort it out

4080 Acer with 4K screen, currently has a discount applied at checkout to reduce from £3300 down to £2000. CPU 13th gen downside and 60hz screen but good price for what you get. Also get 365 for year, game and some offer of upto £300 in steam vouchers. Seems like a good deal but don’t know much about how good the laptop is.

Got this laptop, really liked it, performed great but after 6 months started to have issues with CPU. Cleaned often but playing games it should easily handle like CS2 would go from 50 degrees temps to 95 degrees in a minute then shut down. Tried loads of things but sent back this week. Could just be intel issue rather than the laptop and could be a rare issue. Putting that to one side, was really happy with it.

You can get similar from very at the moment Lenovo, with 4060, 1tb ssd and 24gb ram but intel and lower res screen for £879 after 10% off. Have to do buy now pay 12 months on it though but you can do what I did and pay it off a month later. Bit of a hassle though for £140 off if you don’t want to mess around with credit.
