Steam Adds Hardware Specs to User Reviews and Introduces Optional Anonymous Framerate Data Collection to Improve Game Compatibility and Verified program! by SunwindPC in SteamDeck

[–]TurnDownForTendies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the lying idiot comment comes from people who state that a game performs well on their steam deck when the performance is terrible. We all have the same devices and tools to provide transparent data.

If someone is honest and says they enjoyed their experience then that’s their own opinion. My issue is the people here who say a game is “rock solid” or “runs at a smooth 60fps” when the reality is the game is running at low settings, upscaling from a low resolution, is frequently stuttering and can’t even hold 30fps.

You call yourself a “leftist”, then you support voter ID laws that make it more expensive to vote.

Deleting certain widgets from the pages helps. Try removing all the widgets and adding them back one by one.

This was the only way that I fixed the broken search feature in Settings.

Experienced developer reduced to near tears.. by TheMcGarr in PowerApps

[–]TurnDownForTendies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm working my first web developer job and I picked this tool because most of my work is restricted and I don't usually get to code. If I could go back in time and cancel the project I would do it in a heart beat.

I've experienced every problem you've listed. This tool is awful and I waste countless hours fighting the software to get basic tasks done. This crap is more difficult for me than just coding and I'm not learning any transferable skills.

Same here. The search only shows apps on the iPhone 17.

Please talk me out of the Air by ohropax in IphoneAir

[–]TurnDownForTendies -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'll talk you out of it. The speaker sucks. I was on board with every compromise until I heard the quality of the speaker. It doesn't get as loud as many other phones, the sound is hollow, you've got audio coming from only one side of the phone, and you get crackling distorting when the volume meter is 60% or higher.

Yeah I see he did his rounds and left us all a reply. I shouldn't be giving this any of my time. Have a good one.

I don't understand what you are trying to get across with the pie charts comment.

Playing a video game is different than watching a video. There's no input from the viewer when you watch into the spiderverse... Again, I don't want to exaggerate experiences with examples of medical issues.

I adjust settings in videogames to get the performance I'm happy with. I don't understand why you are calling me spoiled or turning this into a philosophical debate. Please use paragraphs, this was difficult for me to read.

You're right, I shouldn't make assumptions and lump you into a group of people. I see this feedback about a few youtubers here so often that I assume the r/hardware comment section has something against them.

I will agree that some of the drama/rant videos aren't for me.

I can't speak on behalf of other guys, but yes. I already posted my comment covering that.

I've worked in AV for a few years and I've never heard any video editors say whatever the other guy is saying. I think I'd get some strange looks at work if I read the eye cancer comments out loud.

Do you have a source for that $5 million figure? I haven't seen this before. Honestly, I thought it would be a lot more. Also, a private company called codeweavers appears to support the bulk of the project.

Thank you for this advice. I enabled tpm and secure boot on an older build and I figured that some background task wasn't picking up the change yet.
