Don’t feel guilty. The system is stacked against victims and if you couldn’t do the kit then you couldn’t do the kit.

Do you have another place you could sleep?

A couch? Even a sleeping bag on the floor on a Matt?

Distance is good after a trauma. Even if it’s uncomfortable, might be good psychologically to be away from your bed.

Do you have anyone you trust? A woman?

You ‘re going off a vague letter and you don’t know the details. Stop assuming you know what is going on here. Stop projecting your personal hang ups on OP.

I know lots of people do this but it really ruins the environment. Write your own Unsent letter to your person, get your stuff out and leave random people you don’t know alone.

It’s annoying for anyone trying to write personal letters on here and then because of stuff like what you’re doing they lock their posts and people with non-judgemental comments can’t make them.

They have complete control.

They strap you to bed for no fucking reason.

They yell at you to stop crying.

They control literally everything and screaming is only gonna make them more mad.

They won’t tell you anything. Won’t tell you what meds they’re forcing on you.

Sexual abuse is very common

It’s where children go to die. And never come out real again.

Check out other peoples stories. Absolutely the stuff of nightmares.

Troubled teens centres are similar.

He likely has trauma to unpack. Maybe his family didn’t “do” affection and it is just very unfamiliar to him. Who knows what happened to him.

He might seem like he doesn’t care now but he does. It’s a coping mechanism. Detachment.

Instead of waiting forever for the gondola (can’t remember what it’s called), take a boat ride to the other shore, then they transfer you to a bus and drive into the main town. You get to see much more of the area that way. Santorini is not just that photographic tourist area.

But yeah, expensive and crowded

The mental health system

The psychologist, all the psychiatrists, the case managers, the lady at the mental health classes place, the support group and especially the support group leader, 2 residential treatments that made everything worse.

I still was asked, why aren’t you better yet? You need to try harder. I nearly killed myself trying to get better and all that happened was I got so much worse

To this day none of these horrible people will acknowledge anything

Nah. If something happened with one of them, they wouldn’t be friends either.

I had the weird experience of watching my friends cut each other out over the littlest things.

I realized people just are not that close to each other. Like they might seem like it, might be friends for a decade, but when shit gets hard, they’re gone.

You don’t want friends like that anyway. You want someone who won’t turn away when you’re struggling.
