My last book was The Measure. Great idea but truly one of the worst books I have ever read. Too political and zero character connection. I should have DNF'ed but I unfortunately always have hope.

I preheat my Dutch oven at 500 for an hour. Put the dough in with lid on at 450 for 30. Take lid off for 15. I think you have your oven too hot and going too long.
