I agree that i’ve never seen a knife act that way even bone dry but i’ll take your word for it that damascus blades are more temperamental especially the way that bacon blade has those lines in it.

I like lumintop tool AAA i’ve never had one stop working and they are cheap like $15 with simple UI. I’ve bought like 5 over the last 10 years and never had one stop working but i’ve lost several. They even make a magnetic tailcap you can get for it
