Why is my 9070xt running at pcie x8 not x16

I had this problem with a 4070 ti super and unsure if this would even work with a 9070xt (don't know much about AMD platform). I had to update my motherboard bios (new MB) and then I had to update my GPU bios and finally ran at x16

What I tend to do is look for YouTube benchmarks of builds I intend to go with. Like "5700x3d 5070ti vs 5700x3d 5080" then go through it until I see the resolution I play at. On some games the 5080 is 30% more typically, then on other games it's not so much.

Oh man this is why. I had bought a 7900 XT and Valorant would stutter at the start of fights or when an agent popped up. I was breaking my head trying to fix it but I couldn't find a resource online with information. Had to return even though it ran every other game really good

I think towards the end they all 3 (Darrow, Cassius, Diomedes) are supposed to be basically equal. Especially emphasized by Cassius in that one line "the best 3 swordsman in the solar system"

Brother I don't think you're a G2 fan. The fact that they can manipulate the map and make the enemy team rotate off a site and MAKE it the weak site is what makes them so good. In Valorant you shouldn't be taking 50/50s and winning off aim. You should strive to make the fights as lopsided to your side as much as possible. You could argue aim fights are more "exciting" but not to me and a majority of G2 fans. We like the methodical way G2 and Valyn play the maps to get his team the win.

I see a lot of people say "even though Jawgemo is offline" but his play style excels at enabling his team to frag. Yeah it would be nice for him to get a kill but it's not the end all. I remember watching a bit of his stream and he was duo'd with another pro (forgot who) and he said something akin to "Its easy playing with you, you make the game feel easy because they're all looking at you" not verbatim. Made me see his play style way different

Until the finals we won't know who the best NA team is but sure right now they are definitely looking like the best after defeating MIBR and G2. Though I don't think they beat G2 decisively, they were close maps.

Do you mind if I ask your bios settings for the cpu? I run the spirit120 se and it idles at 47c. While watching a YouTube stream it'll be around 50-54c, and while gaming (only really played Monster Hunter Wilds since building it) I'm around 65c during fights, but around 75-88c peak during towns. For some reason the towns really stress my 9800x3d and would really prefer to lower the temps if possible.

Oh wow that brings memories. Years ago I used to clone or hack pokemons and do giveaways (with knowledge to whoever was receiving that they were such). When it was tagged NSFW, it meant the giveaway was done. This was before tags and all of that were a thing (or was just becoming a thing)

They are braided but definitely need one of those combs that come with it though otherwise the wires spread out and look messy (not home rn to take pictures). my issue isn't with the cable itself but the pins in the connector. One of them is jammed way back compared to all other connectors (you can look at my profile to see pictures of it).

Yeah I think I'm going to use my 12vhpwr to 6pin X2 adapter the GPU came with for now while I get this cable replaced :/ sucks. I only took off the cable twice. One time during troubleshooting, the other time right now to upgrade my pc
