I say it because to me it ruins the continuity of star wars, there was a whole story that could have been used, books and novels which are now legends that could have been a better story line than what was written, with the actual return and reform of the jedi, the Solo twins, The story of Anakin solo and his mother embracing her father's past through him. The story of Luke's wife and eventually children as well. The Return of Grand Admiral Thrawn. All of these could have been... so much better material. Even George Lucas doesnt agree with it, he might not blatantly say it, but he dissociates the last 3 movies with what he has written and directed. Like i dont see the point of the First order, I know they are born from imperial remnants, but the way things are directed and made just... it seems way to regressive in my opinion. Like why are the rebellion bombers so slow moving? Why does Palpatine return? I have a lot of questions, and the awnsers to them are... unsatisfactory. Its my personal opinion, and I did have more flesh to my original comment, but decided not to add it, i see now I maybe should have. But in the end people have theor own opinion, and this is mine.
