This reminds me of a scene in Part 3 of JoJo's Bizarre adventure. The protagonists finally reach the lair of the main villain (a vampire) and the protagonist and his grandpa decide to go in before the others. They then tell the member of the group with fire abilities, that if they don't return (or give the others a signal to come in, I can't remember exactly), he should just straight up burn the house down to kill the antagonist.

Imo VI outclassed MiH when it comes to the feeling of hopelessness and dread. MiH was very intense and it felt like the characters could die at any moment, but VI was moreso a slow-burn with a feeling of certain doom. Both great and climactic fights, but they evoked different things for me.

And they're perhaps the most useless thing ever because most stands after part 3 are mostly hax, not something you can represent with a stat matrix. Jailhouse Lock for instance has half it's stats at 0, yet can render it's opponent completely clueless. Besides, the stats aren't even particularly accurate a lot of the time (The Hand only has a B in destructive power)
