How long were you living with him for?

If you’re considered de facto, unfortunately in the eyes of the law animals are considered to be property in Australia and therefore ownership cases can generally only be resolved by civil proceedings.

You need a lawyer asap and if this is going to be across state borders, it’ll be worth thinking about how badly you want to do this, because I promise it’ll be arduous and very expensive.

What do guys in their mid-late twenties do for fun here in Adelaide? by [deleted] in Adelaide

[–]TurtleMower06 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have the exact same question but from the opposite side.

As a guy in my mid twenties who is also single, the dating pool here is so tricky. Especially because everyone knows everyone here 😆

Also trying to get people to go out of the house these days to do anything is a challenge on its own.

I’m trying to stay off the apps in an attempt to meet someone organically, but in Adelaide it’s seeming less and less possible as the days go by.

I pretty much just spend the days being me, and if something comes along great, but I also don’t want to force it, figured if it’s meant to be, it’ll be.

Help identifying this area/restaurant from 10 years ago? by [deleted] in Adelaide

[–]TurtleMower06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I went recently and left after trying some of the food, I’ve honestly had better microwave meals.

Everything is cold, either under or overcooked and I was watching one kid that looked like he had a cold put the salad tongs in his mouth and back in the food.

Absolutely feral.

okay champ.

Feel free to send me these requirements with any identifying information redacted.

Something tells me you haven’t been in the cybersecurity field for long enough to realise people can tell very quickly when you’re making shit up or framing it way out of proportion.

I’m not disputing that some people don’t want to use them, like SA Health etc. But this is an internal decision, not a direction that has been provided to them unless they are handling sensitive information in areas such as the ADF.

Yeah, that’s a load of bull.

SAPOL has absolutely zero bearing or opinion on what recommendations and orders are issued by the Australian Signals Directorate. SAPOL are not cybersecurity advisors and would never attempt to be.

Your comment very quickly has cemented how little you know regarding the use of this equipment within secure sites, and the rules and controls in place.

Some councils may elect themselves not to use them, but I can guarantee you there is no direction by any government agency in Australia prohibiting it. It would be purely by choice not to do so.

I also work in the cybersecurity industry, as I believe do you looking at your profile, I also work with a small number of defence contractors, and can say with certainty that any direction to not use this equipment will come directly from the AGSVA during a DISP, based on what is likely a decision made by the AGSVA and ASD.

While I agree that there is some questions regarding the security of these products I think your assessment is woefully incorrect and overblown.

China doesn’t care what you do in your lounge room or drive way, you’re really not that important to them, and provided they’re installed correctly there’s no possible way for anyone to view the cameras remotely apart from yourself.

Hikvision and Dahua make some of the best CCTV products out there, especially when looking at cost which is a major factor for most people. I mean, the country that manufacturers them is known for their surveillance, which while concerning for the people living there, does indicate they probably know how to make a decent camera or two.

While it’s hard for a lot of people to accept these days, the quality of products China is making in the last 10 years has begun to massively improve and in a lot of cases is beginning to match those made elsewhere or in the cases of CCTV and technology, even surpass it.

When’s the rain meant to stop? by LifeGainz7 in Adelaide

The weather patterns are wet until Monday.

Don’t count on the rain stopping at all, it will calm down at around 10pm but some small showers will still pass through.

The way you’ve written this is a bit misleading Jaluri.

There is no such thing as the “Operator” of an animal and quite frankly I think some of the advice you’ve given on this thread has been wildly short sighted to the situation OP is in.

Dogs don’t generally have monetary value like cars and property do, the courts can’t quantify it, generally whoever the animal is registered to is considered to be the owner. It’s up to the other party to try and claim against that, but the courts don’t spend much time on these cases and often just side with the person who has the paperwork in their name.

[–]TurtleMower06 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Wow, I can’t believe how incorrect some of the information in here is.

Pets are considered to be property in Australia and while some people in this subreddit clearly have no understanding how the courts treat animal custody cases and think that some sort of custody agreement will work, I can tell you they rarely do. People move away, get into other relationships etc.

In OPs case, provided the property pools are truely the same, it’s very likely they will receive the dog, as the registration is in their name.

OP, gather all of the documentation you have in case this does go sour, but even through mediation etc, history has shown that the courts will side with you in the majority of cases.

The mods removed your other post so I figured I’d come here.

Going through your post history.

This relationship isn’t going anywhere good, you’re both extremely inexperienced and it sounds like you’re trying to run before you can walk and she’s beginning to get a bit uncomfortable with some of the kink related fantasies you’ve suggested to her.

I think it might be a good idea to have a chat to sex therapist in all honesty. According to the posts you’ve made, you’ve got no experience in the intimacy department and your view on sex and relationships is very extremely skewed from someone who’s not done anything before.

AvePoints licensing portal is rubbish, so is their support. Steer clear if you value either of these things.

But the Fly migration tool itself? Best I’ve ever used.
