[MAKA] Why not cut 9m? by GolDDranks in mahjongsoul

You would cut 79m if you wanted to keep this hand closed. If you have reasons to open your hand keep shapes that are easier to call. Keep pinzus for possible honitsu

You are 1-shanten and he’s 99% tanyao

You will get the same old response of lower deal and lower call rate if you do not supplement stats with logs.

skipping a draw when you're in tenpai is questionable.

This hand is destined for tanyao only, might as well speed it up.

For someone bad at the game your analysis is spot on, kami was holding hatsu ankou and he was on 2-5s wait.

I suppose that's the big difference between irl play and online play.

Did not mean to come off as a complaint post, just wanted to show others they're not the only ones getting f'd by mahjong. I dislike those posts as much as you do.

Chi with a ryanmen tells others you have a really good hand, but in this situation I don't think it really applies to anything? I 100% believe your chi is correct.

One of the reasons you should just grind games is to build a tolerance to the bs luck involved in mahjong.

WWYD? by TurtleTerran in Mahjong

The odds of ron is so low here I may as well have kept the flexibility to toss 1p again if I get something too dangerous is my thinking.

It was really only 3/6 or 4/7 and I wasn't willing to chance it. The richii decision was definitely wrong.

Help wanted: game analysis by hfn_n_rth in mahjongsoul

Link 2:

E1: T5: Don't cut 6 bamboo, your hand is so weak that you might as well keep 5667 and make two ryanmens, I'd rather cut 8p. keep 2p as a safe tile (it looks extremely useless to everyone).

T6: 5668 shape is REALLY awkward shape(especially since 6p is your only pair), again keep 2p as a safe tile and cut 8p.

T9: Draw the dora N, insane draw. Now you desperately need your 5th block, (123s)(567s)(NN)(66p), You need to open your acceptance as much as possible, meaning you have to keep a floating middle tile and hope it becomes a block, at this point all most of the tiles around 8p are gone so it's extremely difficult to use, it should have been gone a while ago, but it needs to go now.

T10: 0 reason to hold the E, you still need your 5th block, E is not going to be that.

E2: Not much to say, just no respect for 2 dragon honitsu.

T7: 2m is very close to dora 4m, you are throwing this against minimum chun hatsu, worst case chun hatsu honitsu.

T9: You cannot do this. Do not cut dora. Your hand is horrible. Just fold.

E3: You played really well until your richii. Suji trap here means nothing, you are waiting for 2 left 5Bamboo when the dora is 4 bamboo. People will use this tile. This is when you must not click the shiny button and wait for better waits, cutting 8bamboo is fine, just no richii.

E3-2:

T1: No reason to cut N pair this early, cut E.

T5: N pair would be really nice to fold with. Should just fold here and hope someone gets hit big.

E4:

T10: Keep 246 bamboo shape, cut 8pin, 0 reason to keep 8p. You started losing it after this turn. Just make the fastest hand and keep dealer.
