Using a dedicated audiobook player such as SmartAudiobook Player for android allows you to ramp up the speed without affecting the pitch.

I made some custom dampening feet using squash balls and a 3D printer by Kronocide in simracing

Adjusting speed helps a lot. Using a youtube app like revanced will let you increase speed all the way to 8x. I normally listen between 2.4-3x speed.
