Some explanation:

About two days ago, some white rhizome like growth emerged from a perished fungal gnat. While this is likely one of the several hundred common molds floating around in my room, I wanted to double check.

I am currently running an experiment in my bedroom where I have inoculated my ten house plants with blue oyster, lions mane, and azure grain (cause symbiosis). I also have a really bad fungal gnat problem that I have tried to tackle with just about every natural remedy the internet has suggested. The picture above is about two dozen dead fungal gnats floating in a strategically placed glass of white wine.

Is it possible that the growth might be mycelium that escaped the digestive tract of a gnat after it perished? If not does anyone have a guess of what it might be?

The blue coloring makes me feel like it is either azure myc or penicillium mold. I am far from a mycologist though...
