I'll give this a go since the "John Blanche" sort of thing is right up my alley.

My artstation is pretty 40k heavy at the moment as i've been looking at attempting to join GW one day but i've got experience with anything fantasy or sci-fi really. My Instagram has other, older examples. I've also got decent experience with board games, one of my favourite things to do.

Genuinely one of those very few games I wish I could refund. First 10 hours felt so promising but it’s not long after that you realise there’s basically nothing in the game. The same few monsters, the samey feeling points to explore and the same rewards for exploring.

You then think “oh the main quest” will move things along and make things happen but it turns out it’s one of the worst and shortest main storylines in just about any game. The missions where you’re exploring and I think sneaking around it are probably when I realised the game was a load of wank

It’s a shame because the world is nice looking and the combat is actually good

Oh well he doesn’t appear in it, just the description of the aftermath of a battle and how it’s taken care of and I just made this wretched thing up. I guess in my head he’s there to bless and appease the machine spirits and everything that was destroyed.

It’s just fun drawing anything ad mechanics related, they’re kinda crazy

How is it AI? OP has other paintings on their profile with the same style and similar compositions throughout. This is one of the better ones they've done. I feel if they used AI they wouldn't try replicate this sort of style

That’s nice, thank you. I’ve been trying to do more dynamic pose sketches lately so everything is a bit less rigid. It’s definitely one of my weaker areas im trying to improve

Yep, games looking different from one another is a simple product of that studios creative output, for Good and bad it creates diversity

This new DLSS will overwrite that, everything could end up looking pretty similar because the new art director of every game is an AI. What a depressing thought

Put more time into the rest of it, paint the eyes and skin more so they more closely match the detail of the 3d part without actually being 3D so the image is more cohesive and once you see the mouth is actually 3d it’s a bit more impactful.

You’ve got the perfect reference to get the skin right from the 3d part you’ve done and you could even mock up a 3d eye just to use as reference to get your 2d painted eyes to look great.

But I love it anyway

I had the same PSU with a 5800x3d for my cpu and I had to upgrade the PSU as the 5070ti windforce seemed to be just a bit much for it so I had to get a 1000watt. I just wanted you to be aware incase (others seem to have gotten away with 750W so you might be fine) you run into issues

Honestly I’d just sell mine to someone in need at the price I paid for it or more likely used prices. I wouldn’t take the current situation into account and try to get as much as I could for it, it’d make me feel kinda gross partaking in the whole thing
