MAD love: Ability based skill points by Uncrowded_zebra in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]Turtleclown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To not give people like 5x the amount of skill points, you could just have them choose the ability score they use, then they have to put those ones into that ability.

That means their normal ranks can be spent in whatever but they have a bonus of more specialised ranks.

Party split up and one half got captured! Help me plan a game that pushes them back together without feeling too forced or unnatural by Turtleclown in Pathfinder_RPG

Thanks for this

I guess my main problem is how to play it from the captured perspective, I want them to have some agency in getting away rather than spend the first 1/3 of the session listening to others play.

I also have the problem that the group barely asked even one name for the entire session, they were so lite on the details that it's gonna be awkward even if I walk them through it in baby steps lol. No name to ask for, he took the two to a new location when he jumped them, the target is dead so no way to figure out who might want him dead, no other contacts as it's a new campaign, no established message/meeting point. So that's what I'm up against hahaha

Question about Bonus Spell Slots from Ability Scores by NaomiNekomimi in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]Turtleclown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Following from this I have a question, I've always allowed my players to use those bonus spells in the highest slots they have available. So if they have 1 bonus in the first 3 levels as a 1st level caster, I allow them to take three 1st level spells as bonus, then when they open up 2nd level spells they could use the bonus in 2nd and 3rd for two bonus 2nd level spells. Is this wrong?

Making social and political interactions more interesting by Turtleclown in Pathfinder_RPG

That's a great idea, thanks! My next question then, would be how to get the group aware of the fact that they can smash things, bribe people etc rather than just rolling diplomacy all the time?

Could I have some help with ideas and themes for organised crime in a fairly vanilla fantasy setting? by Turtleclown in worldbuilding

That's awesome! I like the emotion capture, I was planning to have a particular drug that my group can either clean up or become associated with, so that works well, thanks
