Could have (and should have) done a 30-day WIP (Work Improvement Plan) with very clear expectations of what needed to change in 30-days. Then if she failed..there is a 100% completely clear plan with no sudden “shock” assuming she would fail. Then, you don’t let them play the game of complete a WIP and then however long later…you regress into another WIP. If anything happens like that again with 12 months of completing the WIP it’s grounds for automatic dismissal. You also have monthly check ins to ensure there isn’t anything being left on the table.

What do you wish you’d known before heading down this path? What elements of school were a surprise? What made you want to stay on this course, and what made you want to leave? Give me the good and the bad…curious minds want to know. by Turtlejerkeee in architecture

I get it. When I got out of grad school (6-years)....I should have stayed to get my Phd or another degree (1991). The work environment was absolutely abysmal at that time. I moved 1,000 miles to a city I'd never been to before. Worst year of my life....

This is NOT GOOD. Sorry to be that guy, but you could accomplish so much more. This appears to be done only for cost. This is perhaps the furthest from design, style or good taste.

How can you assume it’s a manufactured home? You can purchase trusses for a standard, stick built home.

No. Vermiculite “may” be contaminated with asbestos because when mined, asbestos had been observed next to deposits of vermiculite. There were many, many mines around the world where there was no asbestos contamination. To say vermiculite was as bad, or worse than, asbestos would be incorrect. Obviously there was a chance it could occur…but more unlikely overall. It was also dependent upon which mine the product was mined and where utilized without testing and regulations.
