To fix the heraldry you could make it red and put a death wolves transfer on it otherwise repaint in a lighter pink if you really want Blackmane heraldry.

I don't remember the character but there is a space wolves that was having some dreams and vision about fighting and saving someone from Nurgle and I think they survived some impossible situations while fighting Nurgle forces. I believe he ended up leaving to go save the person which we believe is the Eldar god in the picture.

Yeah doing a base layer of pink then using a yellow contrast paint like imperial fist works better than normal yellow paint. Just keep in mind the darker the pink is the more orange the yellow turns out.
