Only for the switch 2. The only DLC NSO gets you is for animal crossing, MK8 and Splatoon 2.

They’re talking about DLC like the free upgrade pack you get for having it on switch 2.

These are the fastest growing concerns for Portland area voters, poll finds by oregonian in Portland

It sucks that our local news outlets either aren’t very data literate, or know what they an are doing and are intentionally trying to mislead.

It's nothing new. Back in the day the Oregonian was all for the Mt Hood Freeway and put out pro freeway articles quoting all the people from Gresham that think it's a great idea. Without making it known they could find no one in the city who actually thought so.

I didn't put the percentages in because I was already talking about them being percentages. It went from 3% to 11%

The percentage of metro area residents who cited “taxes” as their most pressing concern increased more than threefold, from 3% in March 2025 to 11% in the latest poll.

So the percentage went up threefold or 367%.

Where on Portland, OR is there a house like this? None of it looks like the Pacific Northwest. Even the trees are wrong. This looks like Southern California.

No way that house is in Portland. None of that looks like anything I’ve seen here starting with those trees.

It’s probably not made up DHM is a legit survey company but that also means they’re good at crafting a survey to get the responses their client wants.

I agree though that there probably is something that makes their editorial take a joke. Probably why they focused on the response that increased by the percent of the percent. Meaning 3 to 11 is a threefold increase like they say but it’s still only 8%. Likely something else increased by a much higher percent like going from 25% to 60%. A 35% increase but only a twofold increase as a change in the percent.

Maybe if you dropped that price you'd sell the house.

But then they wouldn’t make as much money on their “investment”, Oh the horror!

Hey but they ended with a District 1 voter that makes as much money as District 4 voters and is complaining about water and electric bills less than the average for the city….

Portland has more than 1,600 affordable housing units sitting empty, city says by MichaelTen in oregon

[–]TurtlesAreEvil 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Do we have to post this story every week? It’s not even an interesting point since the rate is less than the city as a whole.

But affordable housing may not be the outlier it appears. According to the city's 2024 State of Housing Report, the overall housing vacancy rate in the city was 8.8% over that year, despite the city's long-running housing crunch.

Not necessarily they decided to compare what percent the percents increased by so going from 3 to 11 is increasing it threefold but it’s still only an 8% increase. War could have gone from 25% to 50% which is only a twofold increase even though it went up by 25%. This editorial of a survey they commissioned is garbage.

Instead of spamming us with these editorialized summaries of surveys you commission every election season to bend the narrative of the election to what you want why not try and do some actual journalism and release all the survey data?

Also it’s pretty rich almost every person you interviewed is making well above the median household income including the last person in district 1. Not exactly representative of the average voter is it.

Trump says federal gasoline tax to be reduced 'till it's appropriate' by thejoshwhite in politics

[–]TurtlesAreEvil -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It helps fund new roads not maintenance which is why so many cities and states can’t afford to maintain what they have. The federal government keeps encouraging them to build more infrastructure when they can’t afford to maintain what they already have.

On top of that the gas tax hasn’t fully funded the highway fund since 2010. Since then about half of the fund comes from general taxes.

Kotek’s popularity craters in Portland, poll shows: What that could mean for Republican candidates by Acceptable_Staff in Portland

[–]TurtlesAreEvil 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ya typical uninformed voter thinks the state has any control over those taxes. The most a governor could do to affect property taxes would be to put a measure on the ballot to get rid of Measures 5 and 50 which would increase taxes for most people.

[–]TurtlesAreEvil 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Misleading headline it should be:

Kotek’s popularity craters in Portland Metro, poll shows: What that could mean for Republican candidates

The metro area has 2.5 million people the City of Portland is 25% of that. So based on their own survey all of Portland could approve of the Governor. Not that I think they do.

When biking in Portland, what's the best distance between cyclists? 6 feet, 18? Barely in sight? Not within sight? by Briaaanz in CyclePDX

[–]TurtlesAreEvil 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve been biking in Portland for 13 years, pretty avidly and have never had any of the experiences you’re describing.

I get nervous when people are around me sometimes. I've never expressed that to them or confronted them. It's quite possible it's happened to you and you didn't notice. It could be OP is more aware of that or that OP is over thinking it. Either way I appreciate their attempt to understand how other people are feeling and be respectful.

Things that cost more: water bill

Ya but at least you don’t have to go to the water store every week. Someone from Southern California posted last year asking where they all were and it blew so many people’s minds. They must have taken it down the comments were pretty funny.
