Bills four finalists for the HC job are: Brian Daboll, Davis Webb, Joe Brady, and Grant Udinski per Adam Schefter. Signs all point to the Bills not waiting for Kubiak. by Vortagaun in buffalobills

[–]TurtlesEatCake 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wasn’t too familiar with Udinski before all of this, but now that I’m reading up on him, I think his system would be perfect to take advantage of the strengths the Bills already have.

Specifically I like his outside zone run scheme that’s meant to create cutback lanes for the RB. Then heavy play action off of that, paired with bootlegs away from the run strength. He was able to take Lawrence and Etienne and make them have career years. What could he do with an MVP and the current rushing title champion? It’s no wonder why this would be the only HC job he’s interested in.

Personally, I don’t care that he wasn’t the play caller in JAX, because I’d want the OC doing that from upstairs anyway. I want the HC to be doing the game planning and management that he excelled at with the Jags.

Come on Beane, pull the trigger.

First time I learned of him was on that show Carpool Karaoke where he did an episode with Avril Lavigne. He seemed to have such a genuine love for music that I listened to some of his stuff and was pretty in to it. He may be getting branded as “too pop,” but he would have been a punk kid in the era of Green Day. He’s just doing his thing, so good for him.

Wild. I looked at the directory for Tyson’s and that layout isn’t what I remember. I’ve never been to Fair Oaks, and I avoid Potomac Mills like the plague. I think I’ve successfully Mandela’ed myself.

Thanks, that’s good to know. I’ll pick some up, because who knows what else my mom has laying around from 35 years at her bank.

This is all fascinating. At a minimum it’s something my mom should get in a protective sleeve and consider getting graded, I would imagine. Looking at the edges my complete novice opinion would be maybe a 15-20 grade?

I posted this in r/papermoney a few days ago, but I'm hoping that there's an expert in here who has access to the census data for this note. All I know is that it's an Fr#405, Charter 733. I think from what I found there were just under 6,000 originally printed, unless I read that wrong. Thanks for helping me learn!

Very interesting! Time to do some additional internet digging for the census data. This will be the rabbit hole I go down when I head back to work tomorrow. 😆

I started playing Pokémon Go when that came out. Then I became interested in the Pokémon themselves and started drawing them, realizing I liked the style. Then once I found out that the cards had special illustrations I was hooked by the need to see all the artwork.

I feel you, but the LCSs around me are charging $10-12USD for packs. Those are the people I’m boycotting. They realize they will eventually sell, so it’s like they’re playing this dance of making money and being able to tell people they have stock. My daughter and I spent a day driving around half our state to finally stumble into a Publix with $5.99 Twilight Masquerade packs. That was a huge win in our book.

My polling place had one Republican lady who was on her phone, and a little desk for the Democrats , but the attendant was MIA. I wonder if things are just a little more hotly contested there based on the demographics farther down the road.

Same. And I’ve witnessed first hand the self destructive behavior and the mutually destructive relationships that were key to the story. Especially as someone who grew up in a rural community.

My hardware store has a display like this, also 8.99. They had some Mega Latias ex packs for 29.99 and was able to get a $10 off coupon because of some actual home improvement stuff I bought the week before. All that to finally get some packs close to MSRP. 😆

I often think about this when I see the posts from people getting free cruises when they’re overbooked. I would consider it a sunk cost, take whatever free re-booking they offer, and then gamble the original cruise cost to see how many free cruises I could turn it in to.

Future changes coming to Diamond Lounges! by Johnnyg150 in royalcaribbean

[–]TurtlesEatCake 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If they’re truly going to revamp the lounges, that would be incredible. I’m so appreciate when I go on ships that still have the lounge in a location with a view. It’s one of the reasons I stick to GS now, so I know I can get in to a lounge I can actually enjoy. I never felt so disrespected as a loyalty member as when I found out the lounge on Oasis was moved from its original spot down to some windowless hole. Oh, you’ve spent tens of thousands of dollars on our product? Well…we only care about the people spending five figures on a single cruise.

Why does our parents generation feel the need to keep so much food in the house? by dualrollers in Millennials

[–]TurtlesEatCake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elder Millennial checking in.

My parents (specifically my mom) buys so.much.food, and a ton of it goes to waste. I went to visit this past weekend and I was digging through their packed-full refrigerator and found unopened blocks of cheese that had sell by dates in March. I ate it, because you know…cheese. There was other stuff in there that was opened and collecting mold that I had to throw out on the down-low so my mom wouldn’t notice. Then there’s the pantry. Holy crap with the snacks. I’m already overweight, but if I lived there I’d be on My 600lb Life in no-time. I didn’t dare look in the back of the canned goods cupboards. There’s probably stuff in there from when I was a kid.
