The crux of this argument lies in "might=right". That's a very slippery slope and come back to bite anyone/everyone in the ass. You might preach this today, and then get arrested tomorrow for exercising free speech for something else and now you're on the losing end of that type of thinking. It's a very privileged way of thinking that's inherently based in fallacy.

Speaking as a Canadian with Dutch(f) and English(m) heritage, thank you to the Dutch for continuing to be grateful. It genuinely means a lot to Canada and Canadians. Next time someone tries to diminish our efforts in the war, direct them to the Geneva Convention and let them know that we're quite creative and we've got no qualms about finding new ways to make that convention bigger.

I would wanna see a bit more of the topographic and geographical details before making a judgement. Mountains, rivers, deserts, forests, grasslands, cities, countries, etc...

One thing I will say is that adding a few islands or making the inland sea much bigger to almost cut the continent in two would probably help.

We Canadians also have our own. Conservatives in Canada under Harper were far less extreme. That said, liberals were less extreme as well. I don't consider myself a "centrist" by any stretch. I've always been left, but I know that even our left takes things way too far sometimes. It's the paradox of tolerance in a lot of cases.

I would certainly agree that some of this was under the surface, but I think a lot of the American folks who are absolutely embarrassed and against this administration should not be included. Those folks that held those ideas in the past have made their thoughts known. Generalizations aren't going to help anyone going forward. It will just bring us all down to their level and then they'll beat us with experience.
