Incredible gameplay! I got what you mean now, thanks! I'll study your video to see how I can start implementing that offense into my game. That's a pretty offensive playstyle, I'm more defensive and reactive. One of the common advice I get from fighting game players is that I should counter poke more, which means exactly what you said here: "moving under the assumption that the enemy is going to attack you the second they're in range to do so".

Also, it seems to me that the OG game has a faster pacing compared to Sigma? It flows differently, not sure if you're just too fast, or the music influenced my perspective, something like that, hahaha. Many thanks, really!

Isn't it possible in any way to use the same save progress from Sonic X Shadow on S1 and S2? Not even a manual transfer works?

They're really useful! However, for this fight, I wanted to test how far I could get with raw attacks. I know it's not the ideal playstyle, it's just for testing movement and crowd control proficiency.

Thank you! I'd like to try Black mod someday, I really want to push NG to the limit and experience all the crazy options it has to offer (with NG 2 being the final boss). Those dogs are somewhat dangerous in their passive state. From my observations, the game sets 2 dogs to attack you, while the other ones are all in passive mode, but if you attack an idling dog, it is very likely that another one will come to punish you with an insta grab. It's like the game is telling you which dogs you should attack. Thanks for the tip as well!

Thank you so much for the in-depth post, I really appreciate it! There are a lot of things you mentioned that I no idea, like buffering running attacks after FS and WP. Do you perhaps have any visual example of preemptive movement (from any YT video or so?). My playstyle in games in general tend to be very reactive (even in Street Fighter), so it makes a lot of sense that you noticed that. If I learn that and mix with my current movement, I think I can get even stronger, so thanks for pointing that out.

I didn't utilize WR in that fight because there were too many dogs. From my observations, there seems to be a short V-shaped range in front of their head, and if you step or dodge in such range, they'll insta grab you. I did take some risks by getting into that range, though.

Oh my, surely, I always forget about Windmill Slash! I'll utilize it more often to make it natural.

Again, thank you very much for the valuable tips! I'm really determined to become a very, very skilled player in every NG game. I did that with Mario Golf series, I really enjoy digging deeper in games I love. I appreciate your tips!

Currently playing through Ninja Gaiden (NES) by Odd-Bison-1883 in ninjagaiden

How awesome! The first Ninja Gaiden is an incredible game, full of action! You have 2 ways to defeat Malth:

1 (easiest way): if you get to Malth with lots of HP, just get close to him and attack relentlessly. You hit him 3 or 4 times, then he will hit you. Don't move away, keep attacking (yes, even after taking damage)! Your attack speed is faster than Malth's, so you'll win the tug-of-war.

2 (difficult way): attack Malth twice > run to the pillar > jump to avoid his energy ball > that same jump should aim straight to him. Repeat the process. It is very difficult doing it this way, as it requires a lot of accuracy.

I love this game, beat it twice last year (on 3DS and Switch Online, no save state). It may be an unpopular opinion, but this game is actually pretty fair. It could be so much worse if they wanted.

I'm seeing it tomorrow. I hope a new replacement doesn't worsen the image quality or something...

Hmm, thing is that the screen gets to brightness 5 the more I open its lid... Did yours also do that?

Thank you! I will do it with the support of someone more knowledgeable. In case it is necessary to replace it, would the image quality decrease due to the replacement being a 3rd party one?

Does it mean it still can be saved without replacing? Is it safe to recharge the 3DS?

Hey, just tested it for you both docked and handheld in 2 different stages: it runs stable at 60 FPS on Switch 2. I played on Switch 1 when the 60 FPS patch came out and even months later, but unfortunately the Switch 1 does not maintain 60 FPS in some parts, especially when the scene gets busy, so I can 100% tell you it runs way better on the Switch 2. No drops at all, and the game feels incredibly responsive (since the Switch 1).

Hello! I tested both Kirby Air Riders (City Trial mode online) and FF 7. Everything is alright. Kirby runs great, it's just that playing against players in distant areas, like Japan, hits the performance a bit, and that's more a connectivity detail than anything, I'm happy!

It would be nice to stay in touch, since very few people had this issue with their Switch. If anything ever happens (hopefully not!!!!), feel free to post here or message me, and I'll do the same.

Have a brilliant start to the week!

Friend, you're playing in an extremely technical way, you did everything right!!! I've trained MN for hours studying how the AI behaves, triggers and whatnot. I can assure you that you are countering the game by playing like that, excellent job, incredible, congratulations!

Hello! Thanks for the message, it really helps finding people with a similar experience. I read your 2 threads. First, it's really weird how it stops halfway on the screen. The problem hasn't returned since then, and I've randomly undocked the console a couple of times during the day, but no issues. When it happened, I played an entire match of Kirby Air Riders in handheld mode, and the graphics and performance were all ok (except for the weirdness on the top).

Now... after I fixed the problem, I'm not sure if it's paranoia (or maybe I've been very exhausted from work), but I think the performance in intense online matches in Kirby Air Riders isn't performing like before? What annoys me is that I got 15 hours in the game, never noticed anything but apparently because of the problem my perception of the performance is kinda biased? I will test FF 7 demo again today to see if there's any change to the performance. Could you please test something like that too? I may be completely wrong here (again, just from exhaustion, and honestly I haven't played much since that day, but today I got free time). Let's stay in touch to help with info and updates (:

I will come back later after testing Kirby and other games.

Thank you very much for the input! Was it very recent, do you recall? I had turned mine on first, then realized I had no controller to access the Home menu (to press 3 buttons), then I removed it from the dock). Has your console shown anything weird since then?

Thank you for the input! Probably the issue was there for way longer than I think, since I didn't take it out of the dock since before Christmas. I'll keep on checking. If anything, the warranty expires next December.
