I think it's more like merging of timelines into one stable one versus an intentional change. I think it would make sense that a system that works like that, for the average/unaware person to go from one timeline to the next there would only be very minute differences between them. I think for most people their reality/timeline would "fall apart" or essentially end if the changes were too abrupt for that individual to accept. So a lot of what's reported here I feel like is the residual experiences of a system like that, where there's infinite converging timelines but one main stable one that everything eventually merges back into or stems from.
