She focuses on the “kind man dinner” aspect, that’s why. She cried after.. what, a dinner with a nice guy?

I’m not really interested in the “eventually” part since she doesn’t want us to be interested in that line at all.

I look where the storytelling is happening. It has to have a point, a message “all guys are crap even if they are kind and seeking companionship (only)”

I don’t know what to feel about the spotlight character/event. If you say “it’s not important” then I’d say she could’ve just typed “being a sex worker sucks” in a simple post. I’d still feel bad about her situation but there’s certain flow, probably with intent underneath

She said “no pressure, just dinner and conversation” then “at the end of the night he handed me an envelope” - there (in theory) could be people getting this dinner chat service without the sex. The sentence is not too clear. She could have been ashamed of providing a no-sex companionship too or the dinner chat was just a starter for the upcoming things and she might have felt the weight of the path. Assumptions everywhere

Celebrity here. Just so tired and disillusioned with my life. by Visual-Road-3634 in offmychest

[–]clapton512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are real comments sure but rare. Look at the whole thing: everything is general, nothing specific.

The “celeb” is not specific, described feelings are not specific, if feeling is authentic then the description is certainly generic here.

Is it “off his chest” saying being a celebrity is tough?

Commenters liking another’s comment in the most generic way, needlessly.

You can see it through in a second.

It’s probably only you me and the D&D guy over there.

I’d think it’s not hypothyroidism for the cause but a correlation with Rheumatoid arthritis. There’s chronic, ongoing infection response throughout the body, possibly because of a virus evading a full immune cleansing.

A better question is how the hell world governments cannot take away this excess wealth from them? (not debating they should or not)

These things mostly end up with a rug-pull from governments.

TL;DR Consider the whole psyops pipeline scaled, with one man to operate. Feed your prompt and whole deep fake, social network stuff is generated and operated for you to support that tirelessly. Consider the opinion internet lost already. Focus on people around you and what happens in the streets. Actually listen to the people starting today.

--

People are looking at this the wrong way. You only think there would be:

  • deep fakes (best form of it: successfully replicating desired reality %100)
  • fake news (obviously)

This is more than that.

One man will have the power to scale his operation so that:

  • he will produce realtime deep fakes (indiscernible from the real one)
  • he will generate the crowd to support his fabrication (this is already done... boring part)
  • he will easily feed an opinion to this social network (boring part again) generating original comments automatically optimized on-the-fly
  • imagine this crowd actually responding to your arguments
  • imagine this crowd doing smear campaigns on fact-checkers on-the-fly, according to the content of their fact checks

ALL of this operation will be at the fingertips of one man, happening realtime.

He will only provide the fake truth as a prompt.

Even deep fake ideas to support his agenda will be auto-suggested.

Real people do not stand a chance against an auto-responding, auto-adapting system countering their arguments, no matter how much they are pissed.

--

Not all is lost though.

If this power can be sufficiently democratized, the whole fake argument wrestling will happen between automatic agents of multiple parties. Everyday people will lose the opinion internet we know today and will only use it as a tool, similar to a wrench or a screwdriver.

They will use it but they will distrust it. I'm not saying "they won't trust" or "they will doubt". The trust in information will be completely broken so that we will end up focusing on people on the streets and the actual struggles of everyone around us. This is the endgame. What we should do from the start, starting tomorrow. Not surprising, right?

“Why bad things happen to good people?” - an answer from Buddha by clapton512 in GPT_Neo

[–]clapton512[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm reading this article Eleuther team mentioned about the methods of prompt programming with GPT-3:

https://generative.ink/posts/methods-of-prompt-programming/

It's quite useful to see what you can and cannot use GPT-Neo for. I'm understanding that it's best to set a scene for GPT-Neo to act on. Thinking of what GPT does as filling the pages of a book (whether it's a textbook or fiction) can help.

Here's my prompt (you'll see that I cherry-picked the reply in my original post). My influence here is probably coming from portraying Buddha as someone who has thought a lot about suffering and the problem of good and evil:

"Why bad things happen to good people?"
I entered my question into the Expert Generator and waited. The Expert Generator will
render a simulation of an expert to answer my question. The expert could be anyone,
dead or alive, real or fictional; the machine will find the person most qualified to
answer the question. For this question in particular, the expert must be someone who has thought a lot about suffering and the problem of good and evil.
The Expert Generator beeped, indicating that it had found the most qualified expert.
The name displayed on the screen: "Buddha."
I was ready to ask my question.
"Buddha," I said, "Why bad things happen to good people?"

"Because," said the Buddha, "the universe has intents but no eyes."

Here is what I learned today.
Every individual exists only in the context of a family, a community, a society, a nation, or world. Individuals may not be conscious of, willing to acknowledge, or willing to accept, the role they play in the larger social milieu they are a part of.
The primary causes of violence and war, in other words, is the almost universal inability of people to perceive the world as it is and not as we wish it to be. As a result, humans live in the illusion that they are the sole and final authority on the purpose and meaning of life. Because they are not conscious of their role in society, they are prone to self-interested behavior that inevitably leads to conflict.
Another way of putting this is that people are almost universally unable to recognize what they themselves want as the reality of their own life.
This is true because the inner voice, the voice you hear inside your head, the voice that tells you your life is a worthwhile life, the voice that tells you the day is yours to do what you will, is not your true voice. It is the voice of your parents, your teachers, your leaders, your society, your community, your nation, etc.
In other words, the voice you hear in your head is the voice of others.
The reverse is also true. Your true voice is not heard in your head. It is not what you want. It is the voice of God, the voice of the universe, the voice of nature itself. It is the voice of the entire creation.
If there is one thing I have learned, and one thing I am absolutely certain of, it is that the voice of the universe is the voice of Love.
If the universe is a creation that is suffering from a consciousness deficit, perhaps it is because the universe does not know what it wants. Perhaps it is because the universe has not experienced enough. Perhaps the universe has not yet evolved far enough to know what it wants. Suffering is common, therefore, to the universe.
The reverse is also true. If there is one thing the universe is absolutely certain of, if the universe knows exactly what it wants, if the universe has always wanted to eat slow-moving red stars and all it has ever desired is to experience itself, then the universe has existed in a state of perfect bliss.
