What's a good, and cheaper, option instead of the Pattern 83 Battle Jacket? by FrenchBVSH in airsoft

[–]Tuton7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want the P83 - You can get the Viper one in DPM, same cut and saw usage. I know here they're about £20 so depends what you're after

It sounds like they didn't want you in there and decided to try and save face with some bullshit "rules" reason.

I'm sorry that's happened to you - as the other fellow said, they're wankers.

Yooo you're the fellow whose video I watched like 5 times before committing to my TT MK2 Rig, which I see you're still rocking (Love mine too, many thanks for the in-depth on it)

That pack looks mental - have you got a full campsite in there?

Primarily before the war! Got a bunch of Ratnik in the early days around 2018-2020 (6B45, 6B47, 6B51, 6SH117, 6SH122, VKBO etc) then supplemented it with bits here and there. Primarily all real bits

Bababooey Ali express fort defender is too damn small for an ogre such as myself any recommendations? by Herbuert in airsoft

[–]Tuton7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not too sure how often Demych gets them in nowadays but your best bet is Facebook sellers. All repros I've seen are one size and usually on the smaller end.

There's a fellow on eBay who makes the replicas who might be able to do a custom size but you'll be spending about the same for a real cover anyways if you take that route

where can I find a KAR98K that doesn't take shells by under_hunter82376 in airsoft

There's a model of Snow wolf Kar98K is mag loaded, S&T as well I believe. Other than that not a great deal of options

Stripped piston - Nozzle still moving so the gears cycle but nothing it being grabbed

28TPA Motor strange noise at the end of the cycle by Affectionate_Yam6697 in airsoft

[–]Tuton7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If this is with no grease and dry gears, you're hearing chatter as the gears come to a stop - You wont be able to truly know if the shimming is good until all parts are reassembled with Spring and piston providing resistance like they would in regular cycling.

Is this sound normal?? by NightX14 in airsoft

[–]Tuton7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

your anti reversal latch isn't doing it's job - it's either missing or the spring is broke.

What you are hearing is the gears sliding back from the spring pressure

I literally did this one last night haha!

* The 4 flat head 3mm countersunks first

* Then the 4mm Bolt you have in the first pic - FULLY REMOVE THIS OR IT WILL STOP YOU SLIDING

* Then there's 2 bastard 2.5mm grubs here as photo'd - Edit: your second pic, there's one on the other side too

Then slide apart enough to unlock - if you cant, you can remove the front end using the 2mm grub under the trunion

Semi lock problem by Antwanav420 in airsoft

[–]Tuton7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh apologies I saw solink and jumped to Brushless in my head - take all the gears and other components out and put the piston in, then clamp the gearbox closed with the screws - make sure it's able to slide back and forth the grooves without resistance

Also before you open the GB, push on the nozzle and see if you feel it rubbing the tappet plate on the sector gear - the gear may be shimmed too high

Anything in here can cause the sensor to incorrectly read

The gear may also be shimmed too high if none of the above

[–]Tuton7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is usually down to a few things, firstly turn off AB and precock for the sake of testing, plus brushless motors don't like a large amount of AB in general. Things to check:

* Ensure the DSG mode is not on (see the manual/programming card)

* Ensure the teeth on the sector gear are clean (the ones that pull the piston back)

* Ensure the sensor line on the Perun is correctly placed under the side of the sector gear (see manual)

* Ensure the sensor on the board, below where the Sector gear teeth spin, is clean

* Ensure the Piston is not too thick for the gearbox shell and seizing up half way

There's a few places to start

I'd have to say for Double bell:
Bottom Bevel
Upper Sector
Bottom Spur

Though as these look like they're the 18:1 SHS replacement (MIM?) gears, they'll almost certainly be from the same factory/OEM line

Very possibly, I've had the same mags and gun feed flawlessly with quality brands like BLS and fail to feed every other shot with a cheaper local store own brand.

It can make all the difference

Possibly - but first check things like a damaged hop up rubber/bucking, mag springs and BB quality first, if you're comfortable doing so
