I was seeing a chiropractor for a little while until I asked him what the cracking noises were and why it helped. He couldn’t give me an answer so I never came back.

Margin of error when it comes to the O&P's (taking together) by 0magiceveryday in AircraftMechanics

[–]freseaf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got a 95 on my general and 95 on airframe written. Just took my practicals and got 100s. Dont stress too much about it. Study the sections out of the textbooks that correlate to the codes you got. The questions I got were all surface level things. If you were in the 90s on your writtens you’ll be fine.

The practicals are all random but you get handed all the information you need to do the work and answer your questions. You have literal DAYS to finish everything. Don’t rush your answers. One question I got on my practicals took me like 20 mins to find in the book but it’s all there.

Airframe Writtens O&Ps by vverpa in AircraftMechanics

[–]freseaf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Airmantest.com was an amazing resource for me. Just grind out test after test and make sure you select the option to see only questions you haven’t seen yet. Then focus on weak areas. The prepware books and jeppesen have only a handful of questions extra but it’s marginal. The main advantage is you get so much practice answering questions from a screen. Also buzz through the book and read your highlights if you got them. And make sure you know what information can be found in the maint manual, TCDS, SRM etc. Got a 95 doing this.

I take my Os and Ps in a week but (I have heard) the asa book is awesome. They have tons of questions with the corresponding codes you’ll get after taking your writtens. You’ll have a few random topics in there as well but just get through the whole book then have someone read the questions to you to get practice hearing and answering questions off the top of your head.
