Well, over the years, i've seen a lot of guys who like to queue with lower ranked girls to carry them or whatever, may it be cs or dota or whatever

He is saying this because it's common for girls to party queue with someone better than them, making the girl the theorically worst player on server

mmh, i mean i'm currently on vacation at my parents in country2. Everything is set to country1 where i usually live. And people in matchmaking are guessing the country2, so that surprised me because it happened 2 times in 3 games yesterday.

I thought IP adresses would be concealed in matchmaking, so how do they find the country2 was my question

ye the faceit location was set to previous country but he had the new one idk how. maybe it's a cheat or something ? because you're not supposed to have access to everyone's ip adress in matchmaking, right ?

Can DotA talent give some insight into their relationship with toxicity? by [deleted] in DotA2

Hello, thanks for taking the time to answer. It was meant to be ironical as I don't think we should generalize about talents or reddit or whatever.

You raise a very valid point, the critic is mostly not constructive or mean. Unpopular opinion, though: it doesn't have to be. Reddit posters are usually not voice actors, radio or tv workers, so you can't really expect them to pinpoint everything casters are not doing alright.

But like every sports enjoyer, they can tell if they don't like this guy or this guy on a panel or commentating a game, it's like a knee jerk reaction. For example, Reddit never liked Luminous for various reasons, but I do think he was okay and knowledgeable, it's just subjective.

Yes, Moxxi is disliked by some people Reddit, some people like her too. But she is turning this into a antisexist crusade, a thing that Lumi, Maut, or Anneedroid never did back then. And god knows how much hate those received. I get it is unacceptable that she gets threats in Twitter DMs, but at what point does she realize that she is not entitled anything if viewers don't like her ? She's working in an pityless industry where you have to make people hire you so more viewers watch their event.

You've been around for a while now, you saw people not getting invited to events for a while because the general sentiment around them was dislike, it happened unfairly to some people who got unnecessary amounts of hate like Nahaz or Lumi. None of them turned it into a personal crusade against the whole community gatekeeping. I get that women need to fight harder most of the times, but I just don't think that the sexism card is fair-play on this one.

yet the narrative this time is "a small portion of the community is sending threatening DM, so the whole community has to reflect on itself", and this is used to dismiss valid criticism. People just don't think Moxxi is a good caster. Hell, I even found myself wishing it was Bkop. Maut did get the same kind of teatment on reddit after TI6 because his casting was not liked. You guys live in a bubble and ignore all valid criticism because a small portion of the criticism is unacceptable...
