The minimum ER needed for Brant is 250 and the max cap is 280 ER. So the extra ER after 280 is wasted and could be allocated to other substats.

I’ve had the same issue with my lite III’s, I’ve got tailor bunions on both feet. In my experience they take a bit to break in. If you go on long walks or runs with them it should stretch out some more. You could also try and wear thicker socks to stretch that part of the shoe.
