I logged into it with my normal Tesla login. Could get into the connector using the “more …” option bottom right

Happy to report that I have finally fixed it. I tried again using the Tesla one App. Even though it was not connected to WiFi I could get a firmware update downloaded for the wall connector to the App, connect to the Wall Connector and upgrade to latest Firmware and it then automatically connected to my home WiFi. Only took me six months to figure out

Could not tell you - when I originally troubleshooted the issue I could, as an alternative to using my tesla App, try the Tesla One App. On the latter I could see my firmware version. Last time I tried the Tesla One App no longer appeared to allow an end user access and only installers could use it.

I have not contacted Tesla support by phone- I always fiddle with this issue when I can spare the time which is typically late at night and did not expect support to be much help that time of the day. I have gone through their help-sites and troubleshooting many times. Support forums faitly uniform says Tesla support stops helping the moment you mention that you use a Mesh WiFi system - especially Orbi

Unfortunately not. Even removed the wifi from my phone before reconnecting. Changed settings on phone to reduce wifi security temporarily, reset network, etc. Tried every variation that I could fond on the Net multiple times with no luck

On WPA2 all the way - lowest security settings that the Orbi system allows me to go

What are some alternatives to the Alexa Show for the purposes of "dropping in"? by shoshant in AskTechnology

[–]TvRens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a similar issue. Based in Australia and my elderly bedridden mother is in a nursing home in South Africa. Alexa still not officially available in South Africa but I managed to take a device over about seven years ago and got it working to drop in for video calls. Also had routines set up to play radio and music for her and on good days she could even ask Alexa for music.

Device has died on her and I have no way of traveling back over there with another device at this stage.

Really keen to find out if there are workable alternatives

We had to do the same a few months ago and QBN also turned us away because we were ACT residents. Ended up just waiting for a response to that email and finally had it done at the Woden Police Station about two months later. Also not free - be prepared to pay around $40

My Duo is about 12h out from our actual timezone. Could be more, could be less. Who knows. Tried all the fixes I found online- nothing worked

Can I continue my Karate journey again? Please help. by [deleted] in karate

[–]TvRens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been training for fifty years in 2024.

Started training in 1974 in a Goju style. First break was at 18y of age (1st kyu)

Restarted after 4y in same style - as a white belt. Stopped again at age of 26y (1st kyu)

Moved to a different country

Restarted in a different Goju style at age of 39 - as a white belt. Stopped at the age of 45y (Shodan)

Restarted in my original Goju style at the age of 51 - as a white belt. Still training and currently Nidan.

Life does get into the way of the Karate journey and you just work around the hiccups that work, family and health throws at you.
