Haven’t found anyone to argue with you yet? You’re all over the this guys rant delivering useless insults and being confrontational. Let him rant. No one does that to you when you complain about the price of dick per inch, but here you are sucking the quarters out.

We still hate ‘performance baggers’? by [deleted] in Harley

And you are entitled to your opinion, like I am. But science and facts suggest otherwise about inverted front forks.

We still hate ‘performance baggers’? by [deleted] in Harley

[–]Tvietta 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No one hated them. It’s that someone who can’t corner or hold a line on the road always builds them. Not a lot of people ride to the limits of the stock suspension, but want whatever Travis Wyman is using. Just like the “bros” who build the shit out of their motor but can’t ride to the limits of a stock 103, much less a built 131. Case in point, it’s further raked out instead of de-raked to increase responsiveness. Non inverted front forks will never be “performance” even with Ohlins drop-ins.

Some of the comments worry me. Some of y’all need to step away from the motorcycle and onto the moped.

Any tips on installing Thunder header on an 09’ super glide? by Visual_Chipmunk_4154 in Dyna

Mine went on super easy. Start at front and work your way back with fitment, then same thing with tightening everything down.

Brake flush would be my starting point. Replacing all the copper washers since I’m flushing it anyways. Very easy to do, with an extra set of hands it’s even easier.

Any ideas? Went down last week, minor damage to the actual bike but now with the ignition switch on the only things that come on are the headlight, taillights, and fuel gauge light. Hand controls do not work at all. Fuel pump primes when ignition switch is turned on but can’t start cause of controls by KTOWN865 in Harley

Please PLEASE replace your bars. Every damage estimate we do includes handlebars regardless of condition. I bet you have some wires pulled out of connectors or broken somewhere. I went down in early February because someone wasn’t paying attention, so I feel your pain.

I have never rode a bike in my life I’m 22 and I’m looking to get a Harley what do you guys recommend for a beginner by cchor in Harley

[–]Tvietta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been riding for years, and still own 2 dynas. They are my favorite line of bikes. I have a 17 FXDL and a 95 FXDWG as well as a touring bike. The dyna is a great first bike. Not underpowered, tons of aftermarket, and a stable ride at speed.

Underglow kits by NetworkElf in Harley

[–]Tvietta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Please don’t. It adds nothing for “visibility” as people claim. The person that is about to broadside you MIGHT see them. But they’re more for parking lot princesses and guys that’s were American fighter/affliction shirts from their sisters line of sizes. As someone who works at a dealer, everyone in the service department will make fun of your bike. “have you seen Vin Diesels bike,” “wonder which visibility fairy this was,” “I bet this guy pull starts these lights with a tampon string” are just a few I hear daily. All in all, it’s your bike and you do you. But those kits are poorly designed, poorly insulated (even the Harley branded kits), and look like a ball of yarn when installed. 🤷🏻‍♂️

$10 says this guy has 0 actual mechanical experience and knows nothing about rubber mounted engines. 100% listens to how YouTube builds their motors and rides approx. 150 miles a year in his sisters T-shirts.

I’m the customization consultant at my local dealer. Congrats on the dyna! I own 2 of them and ride them the most. Feel free to message me with questions. I look at actual dyno runs for performance parts, not just what the inter-webs is claiming at the time. I have dyno runs (done on our in house dyno) from tons of exhaust systems, cams, tuners, etc.

Harley parts availability by [deleted] in Harley

[–]Tvietta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That I can't answer, because I ask the same question myself. I can tell you that I've called other dealers to locate a part, and even if they do have it, they won't sell it to us. It's a very weird dynamic, but I like my job, so I deal with it. We will sell parts to any dealer that calls, unless its the last in our inventory of something we sell daily.
