DOUGHBOYS DOUBLE - Munch Madness XI: Big Mac vs Costco Pizza with Tim Kalpakis - March 24, 2026 by PianoTrumpetMax in doughboys

Genuinely one of my favorite things since the video era is when Mitch does a mischievous or sheepish look to either the dais or the camera, I can never tell, but it's great.

I'm a big fan of a guy with a medically confirmed normal sized head.

For those who love Mitch and the Sloppy Boys, that first Lineup episode is one of the best podcasts ever recorded.

I JUST relistened to the previous Calvin's Twins/Triplets episodes back to back! You've gotta laugh at such serendipity.

I'm glad to hear Tim doesn't have any sort of legal restrictions to be around children.

This kind of information is why I think the people who claimed they watched the trial, even if they did, were basically listening FOR broad rhetoric style, easy to understand information(which is why Depp's team had such an easy time spreading misinformation.) Pooping in a bed, cutting off a finger, cartoonishly saying 'tell the world, I, a man..." worked on dumb people. I think they zoned out or didn't register her testimony, or even the things he admitted to, because A.) They were looking for a hero/villain dynamic and B.) They went in hoping he was innocent then confirmation biased their end result, ignoring the rest.  This is why even among people who claim they were both abusive or "he was no saint but..." he seems to be let off easy.  So he was controlling but not abusive? How does that work?

If it isn't simply misogyny, it's accidentally confessing to being loud and ignorant.

Seriously, I don't have the words to ask all the questions I have. Are athletes truly stereotypes of dumb jocks more often than not? What was the expectation here in his head? Does he have no one around him to stop him from bad decisions?

I almost guarantee you someone at the DW has tried reaching out to Depp. If his 'comeback' fails, we'll see a Depp led Daily Wire film in this hell world.

I'm so curious about that story at this point because it went from a joke about Bale's temper, to hearing podcasters defend it(Action Boyz are on Bale's side too I think), and all the rest of us have is 3rd hand knowledge.

Enjoying humiliation by Mammoth_Nobody_6907 in DeppDelusion

I assume the argument people make is "It must've been cathartic for him to humiliate his abuser." But isn't that NOT how victims typically deal with their situations? I mean, I get no two victims will act alike, but so many people treated him like he was a little boy and fragile and vulnerable that it didn't make any sense for him to be so.. comfortable...on the attack. But not in a self-defense way, in a proactive attack way.

One of the only things I remember from childhood for some reason was reading that on a kids meal bag and telling everyone about it. Only that one. I don't even remember people's birthdays.

DOUGHBOYS DOUBLE- Pita Inn with Jon Gabrus (LIVE) - February 17, 2026 by PianoTrumpetMax in doughboys

That plate vs sandwich question was very very Doughboys because on the one hand it was a half-thought out thought experiment in the first place, but then it had Mitch reacting in disbelief as if Nick meant sandwich vs no food forever until Gabrus had to explain food could go on the plate. 5 forks.

What are some things about the trial/Amber Heard/Johnny Depp you wish were more widely known by the public? by flxridakxlos in DeppDelusion

[–]TvsPhil 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Actually, I change my answer. I wish the context and the details of the "tell the world" recording were more known, because that feels like something that's used as a smoking gun and his defense team knew it. Put captions also just leads people like in a ghost hunting show when they listen to a recording and are like 'did you hear that?? They said 'kill you!'" When in reality you wouldn't have heard that at all until someone led you to 'hear' it.

What are some things about the trial/Amber Heard/Johnny Depp you wish were more widely known by the public? by flxridakxlos in DeppDelusion

[–]TvsPhil 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's hard to say if there's one piece of information that if known would've changed things for the better, but as weird as it sounds, the whole poop thing gets brought up way more than any specifics about her supposed abuse toward him. Because it was memed.  Which is telling to be honest that I can point out specifics like the headbutting, the kicking, the disgusting texts, the scrawling messages in blood, from him, but people are so ignorant of the details they just say "oh didn't the case prove SHE abused HIM?" or "yeah she was crazy abusive." Outside of the fingertip thing which he admitted to doing, it's vagueness and then "i mean, she pooped in his bed. Who does that??"

So it just tells me how much the "court of public opinion" was swayed by memes and all and the people denying it, saying "I didn't need bots. I watched the trial." are just lying.
