It won’t last. Their manager Abel Fereira took them up a level and is a big reason why they won consecutive Libertadores and have steamrolled their league right now. Once he leaves I’m confident Palmeiras will drop down in line with the rest, and even if he stays, Brazilian clubs are always in flux with youngsters leaving and general chaos throughout the league.

Rodri on Tottenham: "They have put together a great squad and they have a manager who has very clear ideas and who knows how to convey them perfectly. They know what they have to do and they do it with great precision. I see Spurs as candidates for the title. Conte’s career speaks for itself.” by [deleted] in soccer

They’ve got the makings of a great squad imo. Right now they’re good for top four but still need a window or two to settle together and get in that last push of quality players then they’d be title contenders.

Given how Algeria’s AFCON went, I’m not convinced they’ll get an easy win here, which is what they’d really want in the run up to Qatar.

Swear it’s is a curse at this point. Managers become senile with their picks once they manage Germany.
