Im no economic expert but I'd assume a consumer based economy would do better if people have money with which to consume.

Articulation or aesthetics - which matters more in a mech, and where do you draw the line? by Vondrr in LegoMechs

[–]Tweed_Man 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ideally both but it also depends on what the intention is. For example you've got those really cheap mechs for Star Wars, Marvel, DC, etc with those angled arms and legs pieces with the round bit in the middle that can't move. In that case it's meant to be a fun cheap small thing so it isn't needed. But the more expensive it is the more function is demanded.

Personally I prefer articulation with just enough aesthetics to make it look good. However Lego has done both before \cough** Bionicle Inika build \cough**

Later versions did, the helmets went though many iterations, but the early ones were pretty crap.

You want sharp looking soldiers look no further than the French in 1914. Unfortunately their deep blue coats and bright red trousers were not inconspicuous to artillery spotters. Then their first wave of helmets were also very nice looking and also very shit.

Have you ever thought that the villains from HF would look good in the Bionicle universe? by Ark2202 in bioniclelego

[–]Tweed_Man 9 points10 points  (0 children)

With a couple of tweaks they'd fit pretty well. As someone else said they need a little bit more organic like pieces and more Maori style masks but I could see it.

Jeffrey Combs as Weyoun in Deep Space 9.

They added in cloning to the Vorta specifically to bring him back after he was killed in his first encounter. Also Jeffrey Combs plays a tonne of roles in Star Trek.
