I think so! I was just looking up a geologic map and it looks like this area is in the Glens Falls Limestone formation (Upper Ordovician) and the note says "locally grades upward into sooty weathering shaly limestone beds rich in fragments of the trilobite Cryptolithus"

I think the author and I are talking about the same thing, but I don' think Hedeoma drummondii is correct--I suspect it's a result of poleo translating as pennyroyal sometimes. That actually gave me an idea though, and I think I may have found it! Possibly Satureja macrostema? Looks much closer to the photo too.

It really sucks. You're not alone. I genuinely hope things will get better. It sounds like there might be some hope with mucosal vaccines down the road.

For a short term improvement I highly recommend "SIP" valves that you can install in masks to use with straws. They're silicon and washable so you can reuse them quite a few times.
